MS Dhoni chose 15th of August i.e. Independence Day to hung his boots. MS Dhoni took to his social media and shared a heartfelt video of his journey from his first match to his last match. Sharing the video, Dhoni wrote:

“Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired (sic)”

Dhoni shared his retirement post exactly at 7:29 PM IST and even mentioned in his caption that from 7:29 he should be considered retired.

The cryptic caption has left everyone wondering why he has announced his retirement exactly at 7:29 pm IST. There were many who questioned the same by asking if there was any mahurat or was this number lucky for MS Dhoni.

Team India got knocked out of the World Cup 2019 last year on July 9 at the exact time. MS Dhoni walked away from the field for the last time in the same match.
