Ajay Devgn has worked successfully in movies of all genres. Ajay was known as Vishal Devgn initially. He has acted as a comedian, as an action hero and many other serious roles in more than a hundred Bollywood films till date. Ajay’s impeccable acting skills have made him the winner of many awards including two National Film Awards and four Film fare awards. His debut film Phool Aur Kaante made him receive the Film fare award for the Best male Debut. Currently, Ajay also owns a production company called Ajay Devgn Films. His wife Kajol is also a popular Bollywood actress. Ajay had met Kajol on the sets of Hulchul movie. The duo has two children, daughter Nysa and son Yug.

1. Karan Arjun– 1995

Karan Arjun is one of the most popular movies. This movie had everything from suspense to romance to comedy. This film was a complete entertainment package and was a box office hit due to more than one reason. The movie had released twenty-five years back but still, some people prefer watching it over and over again due to the iconic scenes.

Ajay Devgn was supposed to play the role of SRK’s brother in the movie Karan Arjun’ but Ajay had declined the role due to creative differences with Rakesh Roshan.

2. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai– 1998

This romantic drama film was one of the most popular films of its time. The plot revolves on two love triangles that were set years apart. This is one of the most popular movies where the chemistry of SRK and Kajol was well appreciated by the audience. According to some reports, Ajay had the opportunity to work with Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in the 90s but the actor had walked out of the movie due to unknown reasons.

Ajay is considered to be a persistent actor and he has given us many hit films since the commencement of his career. 3. Bajirao Mastani- 2015

The epic historical romance film Baajirao Mastani was a success at the box office. Sanjay Leela Bhansali had won several accolades for the direction of this film. Ajay Devgan was initially chosen as the lead cast in this movie however the terms and conditions did not seem appealing to the actor who had rejected the movie.

The role was later offered to Ranveer Singh who did justice to the role.

4. Darr– 1993

We all remember Shah Rukh Khan for his famous dialogues in Darr. This psychological thriller made a huge success in the Box office and SRK had won several accolades for the impeccable acting skills displayed in this movie. Darr also had many popular and melodious songs.

However, this movie was initially supposed to be worked by Ajay Devgn who had rejected the movie as it was clashing with another movie where Ajay was acting that time. He had never responded to the filmmaker.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic drama film made a box office hit. However, do you know that the iconic role of Alauddin Khilji was initially offered to Ajay Devgn? Ajay had turned it down due to time constraints.

Later Ranveer Singh played the role and he did full justice to the role. He had received several accolades for his exceptional performance in the movie.
