Lata Mangeshkar is one Indian female singer who is helmed as “legendary”. She was born on 28 September 1929 and hails from Indore. What is worth noting is that she was born into a musical family. Her father, Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar started teaching her music at an early age. She has been entertaining us with her melodious voice since she was 13 years old. There was a time when she used to rule the Indian music industry, no wonder she was referred to as the “nightingale of India”.
