With the series Paatal Lok, actor Jaideep Ahlawat finally got the opportunity to play the lead role of the series and no doubt he completely nailed his performance as the protagonist, Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary. Jaideep has managed to get the attention of the filmmakers and it’s a treat to see him in many web series and prominent movies.

1. Sanjay Rane from Khatta Meetha– 2010

The corrupt and the fraudulent politician is the villain we often see in Bollywood films. Despite this in his very first movie, Ahlawat’s acting as Sanjay Rane got his good share of attention from people – of course sharing screen with Akshay Kumar, one marvellous actor is not that easy.

2. Shahid Khan from Gangs of Wasseypur– 2012

Before appearing in the movie Raazi which gave him quite a fame. Ahlawat gained a few but loyal and dedicated fan base after his marvellous portrayal of Shahid Khan character. In a movie where fight sequences made you freeze a bit, his fight scenes remain one of the movie’s most perfect, ferocious moments.

3. Ananta Singh in Chittagong– 2012

This film which received National-award might have failed over the Box Office, but this movie paved the way of success to Jaideep Ahlawat including him in the list of actors whose mere presence in the movie makes it worth watching, regardless of the length of the role, or the co-actor in that particular scene. In the movie Jaideep shared the screen with Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

4. Amrit Kanwal from Commando: A One Man Army– 2013

While GoW was a massive success another movie named Commando: A One Man Army, which was an action thriller came up, where he portrayed the character of an antagonist Amrit Kanwal aka AK-74. A movie that was dependent more on the heavy and too much action sequences as compared to the story did not provide him with enough opportunity to present his skills, but it gave us a glimpse of his wide range of skills as an actor.

5. CBI officer Kuldeep Pahwa in Gabbar is Back– 2015

It’s a movie of a man who takes the matter into his own hands when he commences to punish corrupt public servants. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Shruti Hassan, Kareena Kapoor, and Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead roles. The movie was helmed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamud.

6. Nawab (Musabhai’s assistant) in Raees– 2017

He played the role of Musabhai’s assistant named Nawab, a Mumbai-based, in the 2017 action-thriller Raees. The movie was directed by Rahul Dhokalia and starred featured Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan in the lead roles.

7. Sudhir in Lust Stories– 2018

The Netflix series named Lust Stories portrayed a side of Jaideep Ahlawat that films had avoided from presenting. A character of a conflicted friend, in an indecent affair with his best friend’s wife, Ahlawat no doubt made justice to the shades and complexities of the character so amazingly that will leave you with the desire to see him more onscreen.

8. Khalid Mir from Raazi– 2018

A determined, intelligent agent of RAW in Raazi, who understands that the cost of his job is to set aside his emotions, Khalid Mir is one among Ahlawat’s finest performances till the date. The reason being he allowed his expressions and his gestures to convey a lot more than his dialogues and words.

9. Salim in Vishwaroopam II– 2018

Jaideep played the role of Saliman antagonist in 2018 action-thriller. He plays the role of a terrorist in the movie which was a sequel to the 2013 film Vishwaroopam. The film featured Kamal Haasan, Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Shekhar Kapur, and Andrea Jeremiah.

10. Shehzad Tanveer from Bard of Blood– 2019

While Bard of Blood did not turn out be one huge success but apart from this Ahlawat’s role in the movie, as the devious and manipulative intelligence agent, was perfect and to the point.
