Bermuda Triangle is a triangular shaped area located in the north Atlantic Ocean from Bermuda Island to Miami, USA and Puerto Rico. It is famous by its another name which is known as Devil’s Triangle where a number of aircraft and ships have disappeared mysteriously. It is said that it has a supernatural secret which leaves nothing to survive if it crosses the area. But till date, no scientific theory could ever prove the missing of aircraft and ships. 1. Covers area of more than 500,000 square miles

The Bermuda Triangle covers a large area of about 500,000 square miles of sea. If we combine the areas of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the Bermuda Triangle is still larger than the combined area.

2. Magnetic field can be experienced outside the Triangle too

It is believed that the waves or the magnetic power of the Bermuda Triangle is not only fixed in that particular region. Its effect can be experienced outside the triangle too. It was also said that methane gas which is present in sea bed surrounds the entire area near the triangle which gives possible reasons of disappearances without any explanation.

3. Christopher Columbus experience about Bermuda Triangle

The very first person to let the world know about the Bermuda Triangle was Christopher Columbus in the year 1492. When Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue into the Bermuda Triangle his ship floated on the still waters through the triangle noticed that his compass readings had stopped working and saw a fireball in the sky.

4. UFO connection?

UFO hunters blame aliens for the Bermuda Triangle mystery. Few also say that aliens have chosen the Bermuda Triangle as a point to abduct and capture aircraft and ships.

5. Connection with lost city of Atlantis

Some believe that Atlantians were a civilization which has developed itself quite advanced, and their remains are still active on the ocean floor. They say their technology interfere with modern ships and planes, casing them to crash.

7. The Devil’s Triangle

It has been estimated that more than 1000 lives have been lost in past few decades in the triangle. On an average 4 aircraft and approx 20 yachts go missing every year. Where does all the ships and yachts go? Mysterious right.

8. Electronic Fog

People believe there exist an electronic fog in the Bermuda Triangle can be time travel tunnel. A pilot named Bruce Gernon claimed that he lost for almost 28 minutes after flying have experienced electronic fog in Bermuda Triangle, which can be a time travel tunnel too.

9. Methane Gas

According to this theory, the methane gas is responsible for the disappearance of aircraft and ships. Bubbles of Methane gas rises which lowers the density of water thereby lowering the buoyant force of water which results in sinking of vessels.

But Methane Gas theory is not strongly explained and also there isn’t any source of methane gas nearby.

10. Pirates attack

We all have might heard about the pirates of sea. According to this theory many ships disappeared because of pirates who are active in this part.

11. Gulf Stream quickly gets rid of the debris

There is a gulf of stream in the triangle which gets off all the debris of ships or planes which gets disappeared.

12. Compass variation

Bermuda Triangle comes in one of those unique places on Earth where the compass does not work and point towards true north instead of magnetic north which generally creates confusion and are responsible for the disappearances to some extent. The amount of variation changes by as much as 20 degrees as one circumnavigates the earth.

13. The mysterious disappearance of Flight 19

In 1945, there occurred a famous incident in which five U.S. Navy Avenger torpedo bombers known as “Flight 19” flew from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, for an investigation. The mission had 14 members in the crew and they all vanished in the Atlantic off the coast of Florida. A navy seaplane was sent to rescue them and they also disappeared without any trace.
