A Woman Celebrates Her Divorce With A Wild Photoshoot Where She Sets Her Wedding Dress On Fire

The percent of marriages that end in divorce continues to go up. Around 50% of all marriages in the US end in divorce or separation, and 41% of first marriages are over before ‘death do us part’. So, it only makes sense that people are starting to view divorce differently – some people are even choosing to celebrate their divorce in unique ways. Take Illinois-native Katylynn Mokee for example.

Divorcee woman named Katylynn Mokee from Illinois who is seen being celebrating a divorce photoshoot after four years of her failed marriage. The couple were together for 10 years before going their separate.

The red-headed young woman decided to put back on her $1,500 wedding gown after getting out of a four-year marriage. While wearing the gown, she splashed around in muddy waters before setting it on fire.

The dramatic photoshoot was in stark contrast to Katlynn’s wedding day photos.

Katlynn, pictured on her wedding day, says her ex-husband even offered to be a part of the shoot – but she declined.

She brought a cannister of petrol and a bottle of wine to help with her mission.

The mum-of-one said: ‘It was very liberating, exciting and empowering.

Katylynn approached the photographer who was there on the wedding day to do the divorce photoshoot as well.

Katlynn said: ‘I was really happy with it all and I loved the way it turned out’.

She downed a bottle of white wine after setting the expensive dress alight.

She now has a new boyfriend who isn’t intimidated by the pics, saying they are ‘cool’.

The young mother is now planning to display the photos in her home.
