If you are coming from Panjim by road, the capital of Goa, then it will take you approximately 2 hours or more given the traffic situation. Cola Beach is situated at a distance of 66 km from Panjim. You can easily opt for private transportation options.
From Dabolim Airport
The travel distance from Dabolim Airport to Cola Beach Road is around 59 kilometers approximately. You can easily find prepaid taxi options outside Dabolim Airport which will drop you off very near the beach but you will have to hike 2 km down a pebbled road to reach. The road to Cola Beach is a bumpy ride, it is an unpaved path covered with red mud with uneven rocky formations sticking out.

Also known as Khola Beach among the locals, it is famous for its freshwater lagoon which is a specialty of this beach. The freshwater lagoon confluences with the Arabian Sea and forms a lagoon on Cola Beach in the process. The river canal is lined with huge coconut trees and the water looks emerald from the reflection. The water is crystal clear with shallow depth, providing you with calm water to swim and chill.

- Cola Beach is also known to be one of the best beaches in South Goa for swimming and diving. But you do that at your own risk since there are barely any lifeguards in sight and the depth of the Arabian Sea changes drastically.

Best time to visit Cola Beach
The best time to visit Cola Beach is through November and March. Winters in Goa are ideal and peaceful, it is not too cold and there is no scorching sun either. Hence, there is no trouble with Cola Beach kayaking, swimming, and diving.
You can also visit Cola Beach during April, May, and June, but before 11 AM and after 4 PM is advisable due to the blistering heat. Other than that, from July to September the water sports activities are non-operational as well the shacks. Most importantly the unpaved road gets worsened and the tides are very high and dangerous.
