Chitrangada Singh is an Indian film actress who is best known for making her on-screen debut with Sudhir Mishra’s critically acclaimed 2003 movie Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi. Her character ‘Geeta Rao’ was widely appreciated and is considered as one of her career’s best performance. Her sophomore outing was Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow (2005). She started off her career as a model before making the transition to silver screen. Her ad credits include ICICI Bank and Alukkas Jewellery.

Following her marriage to India’s golfer Jyoti Randhawa, she quit acting and then made a comeback after some time. With Soorma she made her debut as a producer. Chitrangada is noted for her resemblance to the late actress Smita Patil. She is also the sister of Indian golfer Digvijay Singh. Chitrangada Singh won the Bollywood Movie Award for Best Female Debut (2006) and Young Women Achiever Award by FICCI (2009). Chitrangada and her husband separated in 2013 and then formally got divorced in 2014. Chitrangada has a son named Zorawar.
