Captain Dixant Thapa Girlfriend Pens A Heartfelt Note To Her Beloved Who Was Martyred In Ladakh

The day August 30th, a young Captain named Dixant Thapa lost his life in Ladakh in a horrific incident where a loaded infantry combat vehicle fell over him during his duty.

After he martyred, his family and close ones had to go through the immense pain of his loss. They had to accept the reality of never getting to see him again.

Among them was Captain Thapa’s girlfriend named Tabbu. A week after he martyred, Tabbu in a very heart-wrenching and adorable Instagram post elaborated her beautiful journey with Dixant.

Tabbu discussed how the two of them met in their respective early teens through Facebook in the year 2012 and thereafter never looked back. In her Instagram post she quoted,

“I met him first on facebook in 2012 when we were freshly arrivals of teenage! I was a freckled, shy girl and he was a dark kid who loved music. We talked and talked till suddenly it was 2014 and our hormones kicked in and the man finally asked me out to which I obviously said yes! (Because, hormones okay?”

Whether it is about getting through their teenage years to talking about their individual dreams, they shared everything about their lives with one another.

“I still remember when I first met you in Dharamshala at a fair where he was pretending to be this cool kid and I was being awkward self. We were yummy! You always told me how much you wanted to join the defence and how you’ll go to any lengths for it! I was mesmerized by him.”

Thereafter she continued and said about their favourite song and how Dixant would sing it to her and they would discuss their future plans together.

“We went to the same college! He was in the band, the drummer you see! My heart used to skip a beat every time I attended his shows. Oh! And once he even dedicated this song for me”choo lo” By the Local Train. Hah! How will I ever listen to this song again!”

The cute moments they shared together,

“You have given so much of yourself to me that it’s hard to let go now. It’s hard to imagine a life where you won’t be singing to me every night on video call, where you won’t be recording me unnecessarily and posting my pictures all the time like I am your god damn trophy! When I look back from my childhood to teenage years till adulthood, you’re there in every phase, in every memory. How can I not think about you all the time? So many plans, so many wishes, so much love and yet its all dust now like it was never there!”

Her heartwrenching post is completely about appreciating and sharing every part of her life with him and she also exclaimed how she would give anything in the world to go back in time to see him again.

“I don’t know what happens to souls once they are gone but if by any chance, even a fraction of it, there is a way to fall in love with you again, to meet you again through facebook and walk alongside you in a fair and sleep to your voice on call, I promise I’ll do it all over again.. For you my love, forever in my heart..Khada hun aaj bhi wahi… Ki tera intezaar hai…”

Dixant is one of many people who has lost their lives in the pursuit of their duty. We salute and admire every such soldier and their family member for going through this irreplaceable loss.
