Bollywood movies is full of action, drama, love and so on. The filmmakers try their best to make the movie with mesmerising locations which can be loved by the audience, apart from the visuals, scenic locations, and stunts are just adding extra worth to the movies to makes it’s as beautiful as it can be. But at times to cut the expenses filmmakers create the beautiful location which is technically totally false and at times they also manage to capture the beautiful foreign locations within India. These are the common tactics to avoid the extra expenses.

1. Bajrangi Bhaijaan

What I knew was that the movie was shot in Pakistan, but in reality, the movie was shot in India that too in Kashmir. Well this movie has nothing to do with the Pakistan’s locations and yet this movie won the heart of the millions on a story based in Pakistan.

2. Bombay Velvet

Mankind made it possible and now at least in reel life we could go back in time that too we could go wherever we feel like. This movie made Mumbai look like exactly how it was in 1960s. We had no idea all these time that it was never Sri Lanka it was Mumbai. The whole movie was shot in a scenic Island.

3. Chennai Express

Well no one would have thought that this movie was never shot in Tamil Nadu. It portrayed Komban a city from Tamil Nadu. However, in reality the movie was shot in Wai which is near Pune.

4. Dabanng

The movie was supposed to be shot in Utter Pradesh at Laalgunj. However, the whole movie was shot somewhere near Pune, Maharashtra.

5. Phantom

The whole movie has portrayed the image of Pakistan in Malerkotla. But the movie was shot in Punjab. However, the movie is all about Pakistan.

6. Fanaa

The movie was supposed to be created in Kashmir. But the movie was shot in Poland and the false Kashmir is created in Poland. Reel view makes everything look so amazing.

7. Ye Jawanni Hai Deewani

Trekking with friends in Manali to the peaks with friends made it look so real. The scene was shot in Gulmarg. Filmmakers are best in creating a false illusion and they made false Manali in Gulmarg.

8. Mary Kom

Here again we see the art of recreation of a place into another place. In this movie Omung Kumar created some parts of Manipur in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The whole recreation was made to shoot the biopic of Mary Kom.

9. Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum

In this movie Chandni Chowk was recreated at the Film City of Mumbai.

10. Sarbjit

Sarabjit was shot in Mumbai where they recreated Pakistani jail in Mumbai. The movie was based on the real story of Sarabjit, he was kept in Pakistan jail.

11. Student Of the Year

This school was shown as a renounced Indian school. The Filmmakers have taken some extra shot for this movie, some of Kasiga School, Dehradun which was used in this film. The movie was shot in different locations like in Kashmir and Thailand as well.

12. Gadar Ek Prem Katha

This movie has showed some part of Pakistan. But the movie was actually shot in Lucknow.
