Australia Pakistan Cricket Memes

On Thursday, Australia defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the current ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at Dubai International Stadium, advancing to the finals.

This was a big setback for Pakistan, who had advanced to the semifinals after winning five consecutive group games and had extended their winning record in the United Arab Emirates to 16 games in five years.

Pakistan got off to a great start with a 71-run partnership for the first wicket between Mohammad Rizwan (67) and skipper Babar Azam (39). Pakistan scored 176-4 thanks to fantastic fifties from Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman (55 off 32). Apart from Rizwan and Zaman, Azam (39 off 34) contributed well with the bat.

The Pakistan cricket team’s strong batting performance provided them with a good platform, and the way they bowled, it was their game. However, the combination between Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade dashed Pakistan’s dreams of winning this world cup.

Matthew Wade went all the way by adopting Michael Hussey’s game and treating Shaheen Afridi the same way Hussey treated Saeed Ajmal in the 2010 T20 World Cup. But, before Matthew Wade went crazy with the bat in the 19th over, Hasan Ali dropped his catch, and that moment most likely changed the game, according to many people.

However, following Pakistan’s loss against Australia, supporters were furious and rushed to Twitter to mock the Azam-led squad. Meanwhile, the Australian dugout is psyched up, and their emotions are running high. Indian cricket supporters have also participated in the celebrations, cheering on Pakistan’s defeat. Fans’ responses to Pakistan’s loss have been all over social media, especially the Indians, who rejoiced as if it were Team India’s triumph rather than Australia’s.
