The Kerala Story is one of the most talked about movies right now and so does its star cast. Lead actress Adah Sharma has become one of the most searched celebrities on the internet. For all the right reasons? Indeed for all the right reasons.

Thanks to the mega success of the recently released film The Kerala Story, Adah Sharma is now the most sought-after actress. The actress is giving various interviews every now and then. Recently, the actress made a very astounding revelation. To say that it will astonish you would be a sheer understatement.

Adah Sharma made her acting debut back in 2008

Adah Sharma is currently in the limelight and most talked about personality. However, many do not know that she is in the industry for over 22 years now. The actress made her debut in the Bollywood industry with the lead role in the 2008 horror movie, 1920, which was a box office success. Furthermore, she was also awarded the Best Female Debut Award for this film.

Her next notable Bollywood release was the romantic comedy film Hasee Toh Phasee in 2014. Sharma also ventured into the South Indian film industry. She played the leading lady in Telugu films including S/O Satyamurthy and Kshanam. The beautiful actress is also featured in the thriller Commando 2, where she plays the female lead role of an inspector opposite Vidyut Jammwal. She played the role of a transgender woman in an MX Player web series, Pati Patni Aur Panga in 2020. However, none of these works created a huge magic at the box office.

Finally, after 15 years, Adah became an overnight star with The Kerala Story. OTTplay caught up with the actress for an exclusive interview. She was asked if she was mentally prepared for the huge success of The Kerala Story. To this the actress replied,

“When you do a film like ‘The Kerala Story’, you just cannot think of the end result and then do the film. But, I did tell the film’s director Sudipto sir that, at a time when people are saying that I will be getting many awards for the film, my only dream was to have EVERYONE see the film, which would be my biggest award. That dream is coming true now.”

In an interview with Adah Sharma revealed here real name is…

During the promotion of The Kerala Story, Adah gave an interview to YouTuber Pavani Malhotra. In this interview, Adah Sharma was asked about her simple name, and how exactly did she come up with “Adah Sharma”. While answering this Adah replied,

“My real name is Chamundeshwari Iyer, but later I chose to take the name Adah as it was too difficult to pronounce.”

On the flip side, the actress was born in Mumbai and is a Tamil Brahmin. She has done plenty of films in Tamil as well. Her father was a captain in the Indian Merchant Navy and is a Tamilian, while her mother is a Malayali. Adah wanted to become an actress since she was a school student. She is also a gymnast and a trained dancer. She has been dancing since the tender age of three and has a graduation in Kathak from the Natraj Gopi Krishna Kathak Dance Academy in Mumbai. She has also trained for four months in the US in salsa, besides jazz and ballet.

It is safe to say that after the huge success of The Kerala Story, Adah’s dream has definitely come true. In a week’s time, the movie has joined the 100 crore club.
