The narrative of the film, directed by Sukumar, centres around Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun, who devises novel ways to smuggle red sanders, a rare wood that grows in the Seshachalam Hills in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district. When the police department decides to apprehend the traffickers, violence ensues.
While the movie has done exceptionally well for itself, some actors and actresses missed the opportunity to be a part of it after they turned down the role offered to them because there is a lot of back-and-forth between the producers and the people involved, including the possibility of replacing the lead cast.
Here are five actors who were offered roles in Pushpa but turned them down for a variety of reasons:

Her performance in that one song has everyone talking, and she is probably one of Tollywood’s most successful actresses. According to rumours, the actress was given the major part of Srivalli in the film alongside Allu Arjun, which Rashmika Mandanna finally took over the role.
3. Disha Patani
According to rumours, the director’s original option for the song Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava was Disha Patani, but the actress turned down the opportunity for a variety of reasons. Later, Samantha took on this role.
4. Nora Fatehi
Nora is the undisputed queen of dance numbers, and no one does it better than her. The producers approached her about performing Oo Antava, but it didn’t happen when she wanted a large fee for the song, according to sources.
5. Vijay Sethupathi
Vijay Sethupathi was originally offered the fiery role of the Police Officer, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, which was masterfully played by actor Fahadh Faasil.
