8 Actors Who Had To Quit Bollywood Even After Doing Hit Movies

The untimely decease of Sushant Singh Rajput has forced the entire Bollywood to ponder over the on-going nepotism that has spoiled the career of many popular actors. So here we have a list of a few famous actors who are not commonly seen in Bollywood movies even after Hit films.

1. Tanushree Dutta

This Bengali actress was a sensation of Bollywood after she was seen in the Block blaster movie Aashiq Banaya Aapne where she acted opposite Emraan Hashmi. She had acted in movies like Chocolate, Dhol, Risk, Apartment, Saas Bahu and Good Boy Bad Boy. Later she became a part of the ‘Me Too’ movement and she had accused Nana Patekar of molesting her on the sets of Horn Ok Please. The former Miss India Universe slowly disappeared from Bollywood and was not seen in any other Hindi movies after Horn Ok Please.

2. Ronit Roy

Ronit Roy is a popular face in the Indian Television. Ronit was born in a Bengali family and he has acted in several TV shows and presented few block blaster movies like Udaan, Jaan Tere Naam, Student of the Year and many more. His acting skills received several accolades and Film Fare award, two screen awards and five ITA awards. But despite this, he failed to leave a mark in Bollywood and did not get a chance to work in more films.

3. Prachi Desai

Prachi Desai was known for her cute looks and her amazing acting skills. Her exceptional acting skills were portrayed in movies like Once Upon A Time in Mumbai, Rock on and Bol Bachchan. However, she failed to stay for a long time in Bollywood and was not seen in movies since long.

4. Rahul Roy

The former model Rahul Roy gained huge popularity after his block blaster movie Aashiqui. Post Aashiqui he worked opposite to Karishma Kapoor in Sapne Sajan Ke. He also worked in other Hindi films like Gumrah and Pyar Ka Saaya. He then acted in some of the Mahesh Bhatt’s movies like Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee and Jaanam. He then was not seen in the Hindi movies and disappeared from Bollywood. In 2006 he was seen in Bigg Boss. In 2011 he ventured into productions and released his first movie called Elaan.

5. Bhumika Chawla

Bhumika Chawla is a Punjab based Indian actress who had started her career with South Indian Film. She debuted in the Tamil film Yuvakudu in 2000 and 2001 she worked in Kushi which got success at the box office. She acted in several Telegu movies and then she made her Bollywood Debut Tere Naam opposite Salman Khan where her performance received many appreciations.

Tere Naam was a hit in the Box office and for this movie, she was nominated for the Film fare award for the Best Actress and she even won the Best Debut trophy at the Zee Cine Awards ceremony. She then acted in another famous Bollywood movie Run. She was then seen in Silsilay and Dil jo Bhi Kahey.

She was also seen in the movie Family-Ties of Blood and Gandhi which failed to leave a mark in the box office but after that, she disappeared from Bollywood and returned to the Telegu film industry. Despite possessing amazing acting skills and giving some of the hit films to Bollywood, Bhumika failed to create a long-lasting impression on Bollywood. After a long time, she was seen in 2016, in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story where she had played the role of Sushant’s Singh’s sister.

6. Gracy Singh

Gracy Singh was seen in popular films like Lagaan, Gangajal and Munnabhai MBBS. However, even after her popular films. Gracy Singh failed to stay longer in Bollywood and disappeared suddenly.

7. Anu Aggarwal

Anu Aggarwal was known for her exceptional performance in the block blaster movie Aashiqui. However, she met with a serious car accident in 1999 after which she went into a coma of twenty-nine days. When she regained her senses, she had a memory loss due to which she found it impossible to return to Bollywood. She is a power lifter currently and posts her accident she has participated in many powerlifting competitions.

8. Vivek Mushran

Vivek Mushran gained popularity after his block blaster movie Saudagar in 1991. Post this movie Vivek was seen in many other Hindi movies like Seventh Akash, Ram Jaane, and many more. However, he failed to stay in Bollywood for a long time and he was soon gone from Bollywood.
