The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri, who is also well-known for his uncompromising opinions on a variety of subjects, from social to artistic, is frequently in the headlines for calling out various public figures and groups on social media. Now, a new name added to this list is Dia Mirza.
He has now taken aim at actress Dia Mirza for her tribute to departing Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on social media. Let me tell you that Dia Mirza’s tweets came in when the newly elected Maharashtra government declared that, despite resistance from environmentalists, they were planning to build the Metro car shed at Aarey Colony.

The projected Mumbai Metro Line-3 car shed was moved from Aarey Colony by the former Maha Vikas Aghadi administration, which was led by Uddhav Thackeray. The Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis have taken the initial step toward undoing that decision.

Environmental organizations objected to the idea to build the vehicle shed in the forested Aarey region since it required the removal of hundreds of trees. Later, the Uddhav Thackeray administration moved the location to Kanjurmarg.
Not only Dia Mirza, but many other Bollywood celebrities including Farah Khan, Swara Bhaskar, Prakash Raj, Vishal Dadlani and many more thanked Uddhav Thackrey for his work for the state.
While on the other hand, many celebrities including Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Agnihotri congratulated Eknath Shinde, who is coming from a very humble background, on becoming a new chief minister of the state and Devendra Fadnavis on becoming the deputy chief minister of the state.

As Eknath Shinde took over as the new chief minister of Maharashtra on Thursday night, Dia posted a message of gratitude for Uddhav Thackeray on Twitter. Dia penned,

While Dia’s tweet has gone viral within minutes and lots of people are already their fingers on her, Vivek wasted no time responding to her tweet. With the screenshot of her tweet, he wrote,

Within minutes, his tweet went viral and till now it has garnered more than 19.8K likes and 3,300 retweets. Lots of people praised him for highlighting Dia Mirza’s alleged hypocrisy while many criticized Dia’s tweet by calling it a propaganda tweet or paid tweet.

On the professional front, Dia recently finished filming her upcoming Taapsee Pannu-produced movie Dhak Dhak, which stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Sanjana Sanghi, Dia Mirza, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles. The film unit was the first to travel from Delhi to Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the world, which is located in Ladakh.
