Bollywood is one of the biggest movie industries; there is no denying that. It produces around a thousand movies each year. People have dreams to star in a Bollywood movie and certainly, most of the actors that are in the TV industry, actually look forward to getting some opportunity to be cast in a Bollywood movie.
Actors like Sushant Singh Rajput, Mouni Roy, etc. have ultimately made their way into Bollywood after putting their efforts in the TV industry first, and are now doing well. But, the coin doesn’t always show head, is it? There are a few TV actors that have clearly rejected offers from Bollywood like a pro. Some of them believe that they aren’t ready for it, for the mass reception and everything that comes along with it, and some want to stay in the stardom and comfort zone that they have obtained by working in the TV industry.

Today, we bring you a list of such actors that have refused Bollywood offers!
1. Ankita Lokhande
Remember Archana from Pavitra Rishta that aired on ZeeTV? That is Ankita Lokhande, one of the most appreciated actresses in the TV industry of her time. She is also known for her participation in the show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (S04) which is a dance reality show, along with Sushant Singh Rajput. She has turned down multiple offers from Bollywood. She then decided to debut with her first movie Bollywood Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The movie was released in 2019, where she played the role of Jhalkaribai.
2. Shaheer Sheikh
He is a lawyer by profession but is currently working as a television actor, who rose to fame because of the Indian reality show, Splitsvilla. He is famous for his role in the shows like Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and Mahabharat. He rejected roles in Bollywood because he thinks that it’s better to do good TV series than performing small roles in Bollywood movies.
3. Adaa Khan
Many Bollywood offers came along her way after she started working for the show Behenein where she played the role of Aakashi. She has also done other shows such as Amrit Manthan, Naagin, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, and Piya Basanti Re. She rejected all of the offers saying that she wasn’t ready for the industry, following that she’ll do it when she feels that she’s prepared.

4. Mohit Raina
An unmistakable personality, Mohit Raina rose to instant fame for playing his character as Mahadev in Devo Ke Dev: Mahadev that aired on the channel Life OK. He was also offered a role in Creature 3D by Bipasha Basu, but he turned it down because he wanted to stay in the TV industry. However, he received great appreciation in the movie URI: The Surgical Strike, released in 2019, for his great role.
5. Drashti Dhami
It’s hard for people to not recognize her because she is so popular on TV shows. Her best shows include Dill Mill Gayye, Geet – Hui Sabse Pyari, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. In the movie, Singham Returns, she was offered the led role alongside Ajay Devgan, but she turned it down because she took her show Madhubala as her first priority.
6. Jay Soni
Popular for his performances in shows like Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, Sasural Genda Phool and Sanskaar – Dharohar Apno Ki. He started to turn down Bollywood offers after his debut movie from 2003 Dil Maange More. He said in an interview that he was not happy with what he was offered. He doesn’t have a problem doing a cameo as long as his screens are his and he is not expected to share the screen space with other actors.
7. Kapil Sharma
Kapil Sharma is one internationally recognized Talk Show host who is also quite good at comedy. He made his Bollywood debut with his movie Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karun but then he started to refuse offers from Bollywood. He has rejected an offer to star in the movie Bank Chor because his schedule was already too tight.

8. Karan Tacker
His looks took over the country when he first appeared as Viren Vadhera in the show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. He is a talented actor, fashion model, and an influencer. It was rumored that Karan was offered a role to star in the Karan Johar movie, Student of the Year 2, but he refuted the rumors by saying that he isn’t.
9. Mrunal Thakur
Mrunal starred in Kumkum Bhagya and her acting skills were decent enough to impress Aamir Khan and Aditya Chopra, and therefore they wanted her to star in their movie, Thugs of Hindostan but she had refused the role and they then starred Fatima Sana Sheikh. But she did cast in Super 30 alongside Hrithik Roshan and did a really good job.
