Recently, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest debutant in IPL history. In the league stage match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), he made his IPL debut for the Rajasthan Royals (RR). He not only made his debut but also became the youngest player to hit a six and a four in the IPL while playing for his team, making history and leaving his mark on the record books.

Rajasthan Royals brought Vaibhav Suryavanshi for Rs. 1.10 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. At the time, Suryavanshi was the youngest player ever to be sold at an IPL auction, and there was a lot of excitement surrounding him. However, it was when Sanju Samson was ruled out of the match due to an abdominal injury that Vaibhav made his remarkable IPL debut.

Meanwhile, speaking about the match, the RR was unexpectedly defeated by the LSG at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, their home field. With eight wickets remaining and 94/2 at the end of the tenth over, the home team needed to score 87 runs in the final ten overs. By then, the chase seemed to be easy.

However, the squad ultimately lost by two runs due to Avesh Khan’s superb bowling in the final over. As a result, LSG ultimately made a comeback in the league, positioning themselves in the top 4 of the point table. RR, on the other hand, slips to 8th position with just 2 wins as of now.
