1. Umaid Bhawan Palace, India and Noor Mahal, Pakistan

Umaid Bhawan Palace is located in Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India. Umaid Bhawan Palace’s foundation was made in the year 1929 by Umaid Singh and was completed in the year 1943. The palace is divided into three functional parts-Palace, Hotel and Museum. It is one of the largest private residences in the World having 347 rooms, Palace is spread over 26 acres of lush grounds including 15 acres of well-kept lush gardens.

Noor Mahal is a palace in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Noor Mahal’s construction was started in the year 1872 and was completed in the year 1875. Now it’s co-owned by Sajid Ali Isar and Malik Farhan. The palace was leased to the army in 1971; in 1997 the army purchased it for a sum of 119 million.

2. Marine Drive, India and Sea View, Pakistan

Marine Drive is a 3.6 kilometer long Boulevard in South Mumbai in the city of Mumbai, India. It can be said to be the Miami of Mumbai. Marine Drive is famous for its Art Décor Style Architecture in 20th century, and for its Neo-Gothic Architecture of 19th century. It’s a C-Shaped Road, and is called as Queen’s Necklace since 1930. The broad place stretches along the Arabian Sea. Loads of people visit Marine Drive, spending time for gossips chit-chats, some alone with music and books, some for walk and much more.

Clifton Beach is most commonly known as Sea view. It stretches from Karachi to Ormara. The beach was rated amongst the most popular and top silver sand beach in late 20th century. In 2003 it was affected by the oil spill.

3. Nubra Valley, India and Hunza Valley, Pakistan

Nubra Valley is a tri-armed valley in North-East of Ladhak Valley. There are three main/key towns in Nubra Valley- Diskit, Hunder and Turtuk. It’s a place where one will feel/see calming reflections and barren mountains. It’s a sandy yet artistic landscape. There are cute camels with double humps. One can either fly to Leh or just Drive. Ensure to book a hotel well in advance.

Hunza is a mountainous valley in the Gilgit-Baltistan of Pakistan. Hunza is situated in the extreme northern part of Pakistan. Hunza is divided into 3 regions- Gojal Valley/Upper Hunza, Lower Hunza, Central Hunza. There are two ways to reach Hunza from Islamabad either you take a flight and reach Gilgit and then drive for one and a half hour, Or just drive for almost two days including nights. One will not find litter on the streets because there are trash bins everywhere, if someone litters the local person will pick it up in front of you, so next time the one will think about it twice.

4. Parvati Valley, India and Neelum Valley, Pakistan

Parvati Valley is situated in northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Parvati River has confluence with River Beas. The name came because of the milky waters of the river which flows in the parvati valley. Parvati Valley is so beautiful that everyone will fall in love with it, in the first sight of course! That’s how it is, isn’t it? You fall in love with every natural beauty. The valley has a well-deserved reputation. Like Manali, the Parvati is a favourite destination along the ‘hummus trail’ followed by post–military service Israeli travellers. It’s also increasingly popular among young Indians. Police sometimes set up checkpoints along the roads to search for hashish.

Neelum Valley is the northernmost region and district of Azad Kashmir in Pakistan. The river flows down from the Gurez Valley in Indian Jammu and Kashmir and roughly follows first a western then follows its course until it joins the Jhelum River in Muzaffarabad. There are three languages spoken in Neelum Valley- Hindko, Kashmiri, Gujari. There are many sub-valleys in Neelum Valley as well. There’s a bit of trekking and hiking involved as well. There’s kind of lack of network/ mobile connectivity, though the lack of connectivity makes it a kind of perfect place where one can “get away from all distractions/everyone”. Basically, Neelum Valley is a beautiful Valley containing almost 370 villages. Valley is named Neelum after due to its River. Some important stations are Barian, Bandi, Leswa, Mirpura, Jura, Slampura and Chembher.

5. Lansdowne, India and Lower Dir, Pakistan

Lansdowne is a cantonment town in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Lansdowne is a town and a hill station situated on the Kotdwar-Pauri Road. One can reach Lansdowne either by road or rail from Delhi.

Lower Dir is located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Language commonly used in Lower Dir is Pashto. Before Pakistan was created, Dir was a princely state. In 1996, The District Dir was split into Lower Dir and Upper Dir.

6. Chandra Taal, India and Karambar Lake, Pakistan

Chandra Taal is a lake in Himachal Pradesh. Chandra Taal is a tourist destination for trekkers and campers. The lake type is a sweet water lake. The lake is located in middle of Himalaya. The nearest town to the lake is Manali. There are smaller water bodies over Chandra Taal.

Karambar Lake is also known as Qurumbar Lake. This lake is situated in Province of Pakistan. The approximate length of the lake is 3.9 kilometers. This lake is a type of Alpine Glacial Lake.

7. Jama Masjid, India and Badshahi Mosque, Pakistan

Jama Masjid is situated in Delhi. It’s one of the largest mosque of India. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656 AD. The Mosque is considered as the best mosque built. This Mosque is known as Jama which means Friday.

Badshahi Mosque was built in Mughal Era, It is located in Lahore. Badshahi Mosque has three marble domes. The mosque is almost 346 years old. The size of the mosque is difficult to comprehend.

8. Chandni Chowk, India and Anarkali Bazaar, Pakistan

Chandni Chowk is one of the largest and oldest markets in Delhi. Chandni Chowk is a half moon shaped square. Originally there are three bazaars- Urdu Bazaar, Johri Bazaar, Fatehpuri Bazaar.

Anarkali Bazaar is located in Lahore, Pakistan. It’s one of the oldest markets. The Bazaar mainly sells textiles, jewellry, garments and many other things. The bazaar is now divided into two parts-The old Anarkali Bazaar, The new Anarkali Bazaar. Old one is known for its traditional food, and New one is known for its traditional handicraft embroidery.
