Shibani Dandekar is an Indo-Australian singer, actress, anchor and model. She started her career as a television anchor in American television. After her return to India, she began hosting multiple shows in Hindi television and events besides working as a model and a singer as well. In 2019 ICC cricket World Cup she was one of the co-hosts. Shibani rose to fame when she hosted the Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2011 to 2015.
Growing up, Shibani had a special interest in music and sports. Along with her sisters Shibani, formed a music band named D- Major. After completing her studies she moved to New York, where she did modelling and hosting. Shibani career took a turn when she got a chance to host an event, “An Evening With Shah Rukh Khan” in the Atlantic City, which provided her the much-needed breakthrough she was looking for. Since then, there has been no looking back for Dandekar . VJ Anusha Dandekar is her younger sister. Shibani is currently dating actor Farhan Akhtar.
