Shakti Mohan is an Indian dancer and television personality. She is the winner of season 2 Zee TV’s dance reality show Dance India Dance and has been a captain in Dance Plus since 2015 to 2019. Shakti was also a contestant and finalist on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in 2014. Her first song as a choreographer in Bollywood is Nainowale Ne in the movie Padmaavat.
Shakti owns her own dance brand called Nritya Shakti. She was also the judge and mentor in the dance competition reality show called Dance Plus for Seasons 1-4. Shakti is the younger sister of singer Neeti Mohan and older sister of dancer and actress Mukti Mohan.
Shakti was aspiring to become an IAS officer before her appearance on Dance India Dance. A trained contemporary artist, she graduated with a diploma in dance from Terrence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship Trust in 2009. In her childhood, Shakti received a serious injury and doctors said that she might not be able to walk again, but with the support of her family, she overcame the injury.
