Rashami Desai was born as Shivani Desai on February 13, 1986 in Nagaon, Assam. Rashami is a popular face in Indian television. She rose to fame with her character of Tapasya Rathore in Uttaran.
Rashami appeared for the first time on screen in 2002 in an Assamese film titled Kanyadaan. She made her Bollywood debut with Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke, 2013. Rashami has also participated in multiple reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13. In the year 2018, Rashami was considered among the highest-paid television actresses of India. Rashami married her Uttaran co-star Nandish Sandhu in 2012 but they got seperated in 2015.
