Rapido Responds After A Man Claims Ride Shows 3.7 Hours Of Waiting Time For Auto-Rickshaw

Apart from its bustling tech industry, the Bengaluru city is known for its notorious traffic congestion. In fact, Bengaluru was rated as the second most congested city after London, according to a report by a location technology company named Tom Tom.

The horror stories about Bengaluru’s traffic are nothing new on the internet. Another story from the bustling streets of Bengaluru has taken the internet by storm.

How long can you wait for your cab?

A man took to his Twitter and shared a screenshot, highlighting the dire traffic situation in the city. The man revealed that he had booked an auto on the Rapido application for a 45-minute journey from Koramangala to JP Nagar but the waiting time left him shocked. The screenshot shots that the auto that accepted the request for the ride was 225 minutes (3.7 hours) away.

Sharing the screenshot of the same, the man wrote:

“Rapido wait time getting out of hand. Gotta wait for more than 3.7 hours for 45 minutes travel.”

As the post went viral, Rapido Care also took note of the incident and replied to the user. In their reply, Rapido Care apologized for the incident and also pointed out that the company is increasing the fleet every day from their end. The reply read:

Well, this isn’t the first time that anyone in Bengaluru has to wait for such long hours for their cab to arrive. Earlier, a man from the same city shared on Twitter that the auto they booked was 24 kilometres away from his location and the estimated arrival time of the auto was 71 minutes.
