Successful series’ sequels almost rarely live up to expectations. A follow-up season 2 of a breakout series will never be able to match the show’s first season’s charm on-screen or its originality. Panchayat, the second season of TVF’s latest, has written a different story and made history.
The first season of Panchayat was premiered in 2020, at a time when the globe was under lockdown and people don’t have so many sources to get entertained but the emergence of OTT totally changed the scenario. While many shows went popular during this period, Panchayat has made a huge impact on its own.

Let me tell you that the show Panchayat is about the residents of a village named Phulera and this show went popular at the time because of its beautifully crafted simplicity, as well as how well it ties to Abhishek’s life and personal concerns.
While Abhishek has gradually adapted to his new profession, he still wants to make large amounts of money and live in the city. It’s a mental issue for him. While he appreciates his job and the simplicity of life here, he is disturbed when he learns that a buddy works for a multinational in a major city and earns crores.
Two years later, the second season of Panchayat not only entertains and makes us nostalgic but also outperforms season one in terms of narrative.

Abhishek has such a busy existence as the Panchayat Sachiv, from creating plans to repair the major road going to the village to strange uses of newly installed CCTV cameras to receiving a surprise guest at the Panchayat office and even resolving Rinky’s troubles with a pursuer suitor.
Every episode is a pleasure to watch, full of ironic comedy. The events are incredibly genuine, relevant, and humorous, ranging from a lost slipper case to assisting an intoxicated driver to resolve sanitary issues in the community.
The film’s charm rests in Chandan Kumar’s clever scripting and Deepak Kumar Mishra’s competent directing, which keeps the story light while philosophising wonderfully certain parts. As the result, the show also carries many amazing dialogues and scenes. These dialogues and scenes not only kept us entertained throughout the show but also triggered the meme fest on social media.
