Any sane actor wouldn’t want their movie to not be a hit. But nobody knows how would a film run among the audience as well. Saif Ali Khan is one of the most prominent actors in Bollywood was offered a lot of movies but he rejected quite a lot of them. And well, few of them turned out to be super-hits. Some of such films are as follows:
1. 2 States – 2014
2 States is originally based on a novel written by Chetan Bhagat. The plot mainly highlights a marriage where people of two different states and races get married.

The role of the male protagonist was played by Arjun Kapoor. Whereas this role was first offered to Saif Ali Khan then Shahrukh Khan and finally Ranbir Kapoor. After getting rejected by all of the actors, Arjun took up the role.
2. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai – 1998
Of course! The film gained so much clout because of its amazing storyline, where of course Rahul ends up marrying his best friend from his college. While he did say before that love can happen only once. Nevertheless, the role of Aman played by Salman Khan was the first offered to Saif. And of course, he rejected it. Duh.
3. Race 3 – 2008
One of the longest series of films to continue (after Golmaal and Housefull, of course). The film had some very big stars featured in them, initially making it a very big blockbuster. When Race 3 made appearances, people expect Saif to play a role in it since he was one of the main roles during the previous films. Unfortunately, he rejected the requests and turned down the offer.
4. Talaash: The Answer Lies Within – 2012
Rumored to be Anurag Kashyap’s one of the best-written films. The film is mostly based on a psychological crime thriller with unexpected twisting endings. It was offered to Saif and was expected for him to play a role. But he did not and turned down the offer.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, his wife was also a part of the film. When she was asked about his rejection of the film she revealed that, back then Saif’s main intention was to grab a commercial film and not a drama.

5. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge – 1995
DDLJ, starring Bollywood’s iconic couple! Kajol and Shahrukh. It made a huge hit and a good amount of profit. Not only that the film still gets played in Maratha Mandir theatre. It had its name in the list of “1001 movies you should watch before you die” and bagged several awards.
This film was first offered to Saif but he denied it, according to rumors. Well, I get fate played it’s way for Shahrukh.
