1. Zojila Pass Kargil, Ladakh
Located at a high altitude of over 3000 m, Zojila Pass is between Ladakh and Kashmir. This is one of the most dangerous roads in India which is not only narrow but also slippery which makes traveling through it more risky. During the rainy season, the condition of this road is worst as one can witness a landslide.

2. Hindustan Tibet Highway, Spiti Valley
The road to Spiti Valley is full of adventure, the rough terrain of the trans-Himalayan region makes it the most treacherous road in the world. Located in the Himalayas in a high-altitude region, the Hindustan Tibet Highway is a difficult road to pass through but it is perfect for adventure seekers.
3. Zuluk Silk Route, Sikkim
This one is certainly one of the toughest roads in India and is perfect for off-roading. The road has more than 100 hairpin loops in just 30 km. The bends of the Zuluk road are suitable for thrilling bike rides. It was the historic Old Silk Route from Tibet to India. This dangerous road within the Himalayan mountains is quite an experience.
4. Kolli Hills Road, Namakkal
Kolli Hills Road in Tamil Nadu has 70 continuous hairpin bends. The road starts at Kalappanaickenpatti. Kolli Malai is also popularly called “Death Mountains,” as the road has numerous potholes and patches and is extremely narrow. Overtaking on these dangerous roads in India must be the most difficult task.

5. Taglang La Pass, Leh Ladakh
Taglang La or Tanglang La is a high-altitude mountain pass at an elevation of 5,328 meters, in the Indian union territory of Ladakh. The Leh–Manali Highway leading south from Upshi to Tanglang La is paved as of September 2018, with a very short unpaved section on the northern side of the pass.
6. Sangla Cliff Route, Kinnaur Valley
While driving through this Kinnaur dangerous road, you should be very careful and should not get distracted. The valley on one side of the road runs deep with the Baspa river flowing by. There have been several accidents o this route so you should be vigilant if you happen to visit this road for some adventure. During the winters, the route remains closed due to heavy rainfall.

7. Leh Manali Highway, Ladakh
The Leh–Manali Highway connects Leh, the capital of Ladakh, to Manali in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is a 428 km long highway in northernmost India. This beautiful yet dangerous road connects the Solang valley of Manali to the Lahaul and Spiti valleys in Himachal Pradesh and the Zanskar valley in Ladakh.
This road is among the deadliest because of the low overhanging rocks, blind turns, and narrow dark holes. If the vehicle loses control you will be dropped down into the Baspa river. One should be extra careful while taking blind turns as the collision of vehicles can be fatal.
8. Ooty Coonoor Hairpin Route, Nilgiri
Ooty Coonoor Hairpin road has 36 hairpin bends. Though the route is maintained, the roads are very steep in some places, with numerous steep curves to make you feel dizzy.

The Roghi Cliff road is known for its dangerous drop-offs. It even has a dangerous point popularly known as the ‘Suicide Point’.
