Here’s How Much Money Shark Tank India Judges Earn Per Episode

When Shark Tank India premiered last year for the first time, no one has anticipated that it is going to be a huge hit by next year and now we’re all hooked with company proposals and talking big money.

This show has made the TRP race more interesting, and the programme has gotten a lot of attention. With each passing day, viewers get more interested in learning more about the show and its judges.

The reality programme, which is now airing on Sony Entertainment Television and can also be found on the SonyLIV app and YouTube channel, invites budding entrepreneurs to pitch their company ideas to a panel of successful business experts.

Seven sharks from the Indian business sector have joined the Indian version of the American show Shark Tank. Ashneer Grover, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, Anupam Mittal, Ghazal Alagh, and Vineeta Singh are among the Sharks (judges).

These skilled, self-made entrepreneurs are multimillionaires with a net worth of hundreds of crores who have put their money to work in the business world. They do, however, make a sizable profit from the show.

But have you ever wondered how much these judges are paid for their participation in the show? At least, that’s what I did, and this is what I discovered.

Here’s what the Shark India judges charge for appearing on the show:

1. Ashneer Grover

Ashneer Grover is the MD and Co-Founder of BharatPe, a payment app that allows users to make free UPI and card payments from any app. He has made investments in OTO Capital, The Whole Truth, IndiaGold, and Front Row, among others. His net worth is estimated to be over $95 million.

Ashneer charges a whopping 10 lakh rupees for each episode.

2. Ghazal Alagh

Mamaearth’s co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer, Ghazal Alagh invested in Uvi Health in the pre-seed round. Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty, and Sequoia Capital India invested in her firm. She has a net worth of $20 million.

Gazal Alagh, is compensated Rs. 8 lakh for every episode of the show.

3. Peyush Bansal

Founder and CEO of Lenskart.com, India’s top e-commerce platform for eyewear, which has revolutionised the country’s eyewear market with its omnichannel strategy. Lenskart’s founder has just invested in Feedo. His net worth is estimated to be over $80 million.

The man behind Lenskart earns ₹7 lakh rupees per episode of the show.

4. Vineeta Singh

Vineeta Singh, the founder of SUGAR Cosmetics. With a distribution network of 2500+ branded retail locations in over 130 cities across India, her firm generated over 100 crores in sales in its fifth fiscal year. Her net worth is estimated to be approximately $8 million. She is a TEDx speaker and an IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad alumnus.

Vineeta gets paid Rs. 5 lakh per episode for appearing as Shark Tank India judge.

5. Namita Thapar

Namita Thapar is an Executive Director of Emcure Pharma, a worldwide pharmaceutical firm based in Pune. The business has a revenue of around 4,000 crores. She is also the Founder and CEO of Incredible Ventures Ltd., as well as a member of the Finolex Cables and Fuqua School of Business boards of directors. Her net worth is estimated to be in the billions of rupees.

Thapar earns Rs. 8 lakh every episode.

6. Anupam Mittal

The founder and CEO of People Group, which includes Shaadi.com, Makaan.com, Mauj Mobile, and People Pictures, is one of the most active angel investors in India. ElectricPe, CashBook, and Lysto are among the companies in which Anupam has invested. He is a Boston College graduate. His net worth is estimated to be approximately $25 million.

Anupam charges a fee of Rs. 7 lakh for each episode of Shark Tank India.

7. Aman Gupta

Aman Gupta, the Co-Founder and CMO of BoAt, the world’s largest headphone and earbuds producer, is a Kellogg School of Management MBA graduate. In the WickedGud Pre Seed round, he and other investors put in $340,000. He has a net worth of $95 million.

Aman earns whopping Rs. 9 lakh for each episode.
