India just added them to the list of countries where women outnumber men. Our shift to a female-dominated society is also a watershed moment for a country that has been known for millennia as a land of “missing women,” alluding to the millions of girls who were murdered before or shortly after birth as a result of a cultural shame attached to having a daughter.
But patriarchy and misogyny will not go anywhere
Women make up roughly half of the country’s population, yet their status has been bad. For the sake of religion and socio-cultural norms, they have been prohibited opportunities for advancement throughout generations. Women faced restriction of freedom even at home, repression and forced indoctrination, an uneven and inferior position.

Women are monitored and controlled at every step and every breath we take, whether we get waxed or not, whether we wear cosmetics or not, whether we pursue a hobby, whether we want to marry or not, and whether we wear a dress. It doesn’t matter what kind of woman you are, the main point is, we have to be within our limits.
Let me tell you about a recent incident in which society lost all its decency when it came to slut-shaming any lady over choice.
Finally there won’t be any anxiety of wardrobe malfunction

A video of a lady wearing a henna blouse recently went viral
Unsolicited remarks and women’s fashion choices have long had a special affinity. Not just fashion decisions, but practically everything a woman does will be an issue for this society.
Recently, a woman is seen in the video displaying her henna blouse, which she has matched with a white Chikankari saree and is most likely attending a wedding ceremony.

The notion of a henna blouse has been around for a while, but it appears that people haven’t yet gotten used to it. Lots of people mocked the woman for wearing a Mehendi blouse design instead of a normal one, advising her she should “have some shame” and not do “anything in the name of fashion.”

People questioned her decision after seeing her popular Instagram reel
When a woman acts on her own will, our wonderful society, with its patriarchal principles and a sprinkle of sexism, rushes in to regulate her decision. Isn’t it real that a woman with a choice is so harmful to the world according to this patriarchal society?
While the majority of the comments were hostile and intended to pull the woman down, there where many stepped out in her defence
Why do people care so much about what a person wears? Who gives a culture with misguided values the right to ridicule someone for their dress choices? People want to know everything about the dress, from the length to the neckline, the fabric’s substance, the sorts of beads used, and the number of fibers in the fabric.

So, that’s it. It is up to us to take care of our bodies, our finances, our minds, and our willpower. We are free to do whatever we choose, and we will. Kudos to the women who do everything according to their choices. It’s time to show some feminine strength and smash the patriarchy.
