A concerning number of rail attacks and unexplained accidents have been reported in recent years. Shockingly, many of these instances have been linked to terrorist activity. Recently, a possible disaster was barely avoided in Kanpur when the loco pilot’s alertness prevented a possible attempt to blow up the Kalindi Express. The incident happened at about 8:25 p.m. on the train that was traveling between Prayagraj and Bhiwani.

As soon as ATS and IB started taking a matter into their own hands, people started making conspiracy theories around it. One such conspiracy theory is “Rail Jihad.” However, in this social media era, this conspiracy idea appears to have taken a serious turn.

What is the reality behind this viral video?

Nevertheless, India Today’s thorough review has refuted these allegations, which were swirling on social media. In reality, the video demonstrated the train’s routine maintenance. This maintenance is an essential component of any contemporary rail service’s operation and upkeep. The man seen in the video was smashing the train glass in order to replace it. He works as a contract worker for Indian Railways in Ahmedabad and is not a Muslim.

The damage observed in the video was not the result of intentional sabotage but rather typical damage cleanup that all high-speed trains experience. In spite of this, the video with its false captions persists in spreading, inciting unnecessary fear and hatred.

However, also brought up the reality that man was shattering the glass in order to replace it. The window’s glass has an obvious break toward the bottom.

What is Rail Jihad?

Recently, India’s security agencies released a video of terrorist Farhatullah Gori, who is located in Pakistan. In the video, Gori demonstrates how to make explosives with common household appliances like pressure cookers. This video has raised fears that radicals are starting to use sabotage techniques to attack trains all around India. It went viral because its release coincided with frequently happening train accidents in India.

The Vande Bharat Express video incident serves as an alarming instance of the dangers associated with false information, particularly when it exacerbates already-existing tensions within communities.
