- Rajasthan Royals led by Shane Warne won the first season of the Indian Premier League. Rajasthan Royals proudly sits first in the IPL winners list.

2. IPL Winner 2009 – Deccan Chargers

- MS Dhoni finally lifted the trophy when CSK won the winning title after missing it during the inauguration. From the very beginning of the tournament, players including Suresh Raina, Albie Morkel, Mathew Hayden, Muralitharan, and MS Dhoni were the strong contenders.
- Throughout the tournament, Suresh Raina was absolutely brilliant and served as the backbone of the team’s batting lineup. In its final against Sachin Tendulkar-led Mumbai Indians his knock of 57 not out from 35 led the team to be the IPL winners.
4. IPL Winner 2011 – Chennai Super Kings
- Among the IPL winners, Chennai Super Kings become the first team to win back-to-back finals in history. The defending champions CSK held the title against the batting giants of the tournament RCB.
- CSK’s batting unit had the presence of Michael Hussey, who played some important innings throughout the tournament. CSK defended its title due to Hussey and Murali Vijay’s 159-run opening partnership against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
5. IPL Winner 2012 – Kolkata Knight Riders
- In IPL 2012, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated the defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the final. Though KKR batsmen were left with the daunting task of chasing 190 in the final, Bisla took the responsibility and responded with a smashing inning of 89 from 48 balls.
- CSK’s Suresh Raina’s 73 from 38 wasn’t enough to stop KKR from snatching the title from them and becoming a part of the IPL winners list.
6. IPL Winner 2013 – Mumbai Indians
- The hitman, Rohit Sharma led the team to the win of IPL 2013. This was Mumbai Indian’s first glory at the IPL. In the final of the 2013 IPL, MI defeated Chennai Super Kings.

7. IPL Winner 2014 – Kolkata Knight Riders

- Slinga Malinga handled the bowling department with his outstanding skills. Lasith Malinga took 24 wickets in the tournament.
9. IPL Winner 2016 – Sunrisers Hyderabad
- The Sunrisers Hyderabad team was the IPL winner 2016. They managed to win the final against Royal Challengers Bangalore by just 8 runs. David Warner as a captain led the team through the season skillfully.
- But in almost all the RCB matches that season, the main attraction was Virat Kohli – Ab de Villiers partnership. In the 16 innings Virat played, he scored 4 centuries and 7 half-centuries.
10. IPL Winner 2017 – Mumbai Indians
- In the 2017 IPL, Mumbai Indians became the 1st team in IPL history to be IPL winners more than two times.
- The team first won in 2013 and the second in 2015. Mumbai Indians beat the Rising Pune Supergiants in the final with a margin of just one run. Rohit Sharma was exceptional as the captain of Mumbai Indians.
11. IPL Winner 2018 – Chennai Super Kings
- After Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings became the second team to win more than two trophies in IPL. The players that drove the team were the veterans Ambati Rayadu and Shane Watson.
- They became the backbones of the batting unit of the team. As usual, in most of the games, Dhoni came up with the best finishes. MS Dhoni was the captain of the winning team. Among the IPL winners, CSK was the 2018 IPL winner.
12. IPL Winner 2019 – Mumbai Indians
- The final of the IPL 2019 was a clash of the titans. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings met again in the finals of IPL 2019.
- The final match was nail-biting and went down to the last bowl. Malinga’s off-cutter didn’t let Shardul Thakur proceed who was hoping for at least one run for the super over.
- Hence, Mumbai Indians became the champions for the 4th time making a new record. With this victory, Mumbai Indians became the most successful team in IPL history.
13. IPL 2020 Winner – Mumbai Indians
- This is the second consecutive time Mumbai Indians won the IPL title. Overall they became IPL winners for the 5th time.
- The final match was between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. Mumbai Indians won this match by 5 wickets. MI also won the Paytm Fairplay Award this year.
14. IPL 2021 Winner – Chennai Super Kings
