In 2007, Dinesh Karthik, who was 21 years old at the time, married his childhood friend Nikita Vanjara. Their families had been close friends, and they had planned this marriage for a very long time. As soon as they were old enough, they got married in Mumbai.

However, in 2012, during a crucial cricket match, Dinesh Karthik discovered that Nikita was in a romantic relationship with cricketer Murali Vijay. This revelation shocked him. 2. Vinod Kambli

Vinod Kambli is a former Indian cricketer who had a huge fan following. Back in 1998, he got married to his childhood friend Noella Lewis. However, Vinod divorced her in 2005 and later married a former model named Andrea Hewitt. Interestingly, they formalized their relationship via a court marriage years before finally tying the knot. Furthermore, not long ago Andrea made it to the headlines by filing an FIR against her husband Vinod Kambli for hitting her on the head after getting drunk.

3. Yograj Singh

While many may or may not know it, Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh was also a known cricketer of his time. However, his career ended sooner than he anticipated due to an injury. He has also made it to the list of cricketers who have gone through a divorce. Yograj Singh divorced his first wife Shabman Singh to marry Satveer Kaur. Shabman Singh is none other than the mother of Yuvraj Singh.

4. Mohammad Azharuddin

Now an Indian politician, Mohammad Azharuddin was also once a popular Indian cricketer and skipper. Back in 1996, he divorced his first wife Naureen in order to marry famous actress Sangeeta Bijlani.

His second marriage lasted for about 14 years and he later divorced Sangeeta as well. If reports are to be believed the second divorce was due to Azar’s alleged affair with badminton player Jwala Gutta. However, the cricketer debunked them as nothing but rumors.

5. Javagal Srinath

Currently an ICC match referee, Javagal Srinath was once a known India pacer. In 1999, he tied the wedding knot with Jyotsna, however, the pair divorced in 2007. In just a matter of one year, Javagal married a journalist named Madhavi Patravali.

6. Shikhar Dhawan

Dhawan got engaged to Melbourne-based Aesha Mukerji in 2009 and married her in 2012. Prior to her marriage with Shikar, Aesha was married to an Australian businessman. However, she remained unsuccessful in sustaining either of her marriages. On 5th October 2023, Shikar Dhawan was finally granted a divorce from his wife on grounds of mental cruelty. They have a son named Zorawar Dhawan.
