1. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma often helmed as the Hitman of the Indian cricket team is currently leading the team. The record that this man has set is beyond crazy. However, many of us do not know that before hitting success and making it big Rohit had to battle poverty. His father was a caretaker of a transport firm storehouse and did not earn big. Furthermore, you would be astounded to note that Sharma used to deliver milk from one house to another so that he could buy a cricket kit for himself. This was revealed by Pragyan Ojha, his former teammate.

2. Zaheer Khan

Zaheer Khan who is often featured on this list of batsmen who have scored the most ducks in the history of Test cricket also had to face a lot of hardships before making his dream come true. Growing up, there were days in Zaheer’s life where he used to play cricket matches with an empty stomach. Furthermore, he even did monthly jobs for a sum of Rs 5000. Making his monthly ends meet in this amount and working on his dreams as well was a tough task but he never gave up.

A member of India’s 2011 World Cup-winning squad, Munaf Patel also faced a lot of financial problems during his earlier days. If reports are to be believed his father did not have his land. Hence, he had to work on someone else’s farm. During those days he used to earn a mere amount of Rs 35 as a daily wage earner.
