11 Highest Paid Actors On OTT Platforms And Their Hefty Fees

Bollywood is known all over the world for its talented actors. It has spawned some renowned performers since its establishment. As a result, our Hindi actors have begun to follow the current pattern by participating on OTT platforms.

There was a time when the salary gap among performers on the big and small screens was so wide. The gap has shrunk, even though it will never be totally dissolved, with the arrival of OTT, not to speak the increasing popularity of OTT services in total (and rightly so). In fact, some film actors could argue that OTT has given them a second chance or that their market has grown in cinema as a result of their online popularity.

Here is a list of OTT actors, from Jitendra Kumar and Manoj Bajpayee to Pankaj Tripathi and Priyamani, with their exorbitant payments:

1. Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan’s first foray into the OTT platform was Sacred Games, a Netflix Original show starring him. He prefers to call it “online streaming media” rather than “a web series.” Saif took away a whopping Rs. 15 crores for the eight episodes of the show.

This series also helped him get back on track with a strong project after his most recent movies under-performed at the ticket sales. So far, there have been two seasons of Sacred Games.

Saif’s follow-up to Sacred Games, Tandav, is a fresh OTT film. Tandav elicited different reviews from the public, as it may have insulted a part of the citizenry’s religious sensibilities.

2. Pankaj Tripathi

Pankaj Tripathi career is at peak now. His marked increase has grabbed audiences with back-to-back key roles in series and movies. Sacred Games, Mirzapur, Kaagaz, and more productions have featured Pankaj in starring and prominent roles. He bagged Rs. 12 crores for Sacred Games and Rs. 10 crores for the first season of Mirzapur.

3. Bobby Deol

Bobby Deol attempted a reappearance with Race 3, but the film was widely panned; nevertheless, this would not dissuade him. He went on to star in the MX Original series Aashram.

The drama, on the other hand, not only helped him revive his profession, but it also helped him win Best Actor Web Series at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Movie Festival 2021. The series has become critically acclaimed, and it has been shortlisted for the Landmark OTT Program category at the 20th Indian Television Academy Awards in 2021.

4. Manoj Bajpayee

Manoj Bajpayee has worked in the Bollywood industry for nearly two decades. And his web series The Family Man, an Amazon Prime exclusive, allowed him to progress his profession while simultaneously presenting him in a constructive fashion on television. He’s indeed a professional performer with exceptional acting skills. Bajpayee charged Rs. 10 crores for the second season of The Family Man.

5. Priyamani

Priyamani is known for her work in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada films. She also starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the 2013 film Chennai Express.

After participating in the Amazon Prime drama The Family Man, she gained recognition in North India. She portrays Manoj Bajpai’s wife, Suchi, in the web series. For this role, she was paid Rs. 10 lac per episode for the second season, which had a total of 9 episodes.

6. Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Due to a dearth of possibilities, Nawazuddin spent his chance achieving stardom. However, it was the movies he made after 2010 that made him famous, including Gangs of Wasseypur 2 and others. Manjhi, an award-winning film, is also included. He recently appeared in movies like Raat Akeli Hai and the acclaimed Netflix series Sacred Games. He demanded Rs 10 crores for one series.

7. Radhika Apte

Radhika Apte appears to have taken up a trademark on Netflix. Radhika Apte was among the first Bollywood actresses to engage on the streaming service. She has been in a number of OTT films and series, including Lust Stories, Sacred Games, Ghoul, and Raat Akeli Hai. She’s been dubbed “the standard Netflix chick” on occasion. She got paid a total of Rs. four crores for Sacred Games.

8. Dimple Kapadia

Dimple Kapadia is relatively a newcomer to the OTT world. Tandav, a political thriller featuring Saif Ali Khan and portraying her, was released lately. She charged up to Rs. 2 lac for each episode for Tandav. She was also previously seen in Christopher Nolan’s Hollywood film Tenet.

9. Ali Fazal

After appearing in films like Khamoshiyan and Fukrey, Ali Fazal was still a considerable distance from gaining the fame and accolades he earned. Mirzapur loomed in his way at that point. He was apparently offered the role of Munna Tripathi, which Divyendu Sharma subsequently played.

In seasons 1 and 2, Ali was casted as Guddu Pandit, earning Rs 12 lakh rupees per episode. Mirzapur was the series that helped him establish his authority.

10. Jitendra Kumar

Jitendra Kumar was interested in acting since he was studying civil engineering from IIT Kharagpur. Later he joined TVF in 2012. Jeetu Bhaiya made his debut with Munna Jazbaati: The Q-tiya Intern in 2013. Jitendra has reportedly charged Rs. 50,000 per episode for every web show and the same holds true for Panchayat 2. That makes a total of Rs 4 lakh from this series.

11. Pratik Gandhi

Before making it big in Scam 1992 Pratik Gandhi has mostly worked in Gujarati theatre and films. For his role in Wrong Side Raju Pratik won the National Award for Best Gujarati Film. But it was Scam 1992 which gave him a new breakthrough to his career. According to reports, Pratik charged Rs 5 lakhs for each episode of Scam 1992.
