Mount K2 is the second-highest peak in the world after Mount Everest and the highest peak in the Indian Subcontinent. Its height is 8611 meters. K2 is also known as “Killing Peak” because of the most casualties reported. This mountain lies between the borders of Pakistan and China.
A part of this mountain lies in Gilgit-Baltistan, a region under Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK), and the rest of its part lies in the Xinjiang province of China.
