Why has Suresh Nakhua filed a defamation case against Dhruv Rathee?

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician Suresh Karamshi Nakhua filed a defamation lawsuit. In it, the Delhi court summoned YouTuber Dhruv Rathee. The BJP’s Mumbai unit spokesperson, Nakhua, said that Rathee had disparaged him in a YouTube video titled “My Final Reply to Godi YouTubers.”

Rathee supposedly branded Nakhua a “violent and abusive troll” without a “rhyme or reason” in the aforementioned video, which was published on July 7. The BJP leader took exception to that. There have been reports that he was widely criticized and mocked as a result of Rathee’s accusations.

Nakhua argued that Rathee had made “bold and unsubstantiated claims” in the video, characterizing him as a member of the “violent and abusive trolls.” Nakhua said that these accusations were unfounded and may damage his reputation.
