1. R… Rajkumar – Rambo Rajkumar
The first “R” in the original name is Rambo itself. The reason they removed the word Rambo was they didn’t get permission from the Hollywood makers who created the original Rambo.
2. Tamasha – Window Seat
The word Window Seat would’ve been much less attractive and wouldn’t be suitable for the story it is based on. So the name Tamasha indeed was a good decision.
3. Bullet Raja – Jai Ram Ji Ki
Since the movie was based on UP, the title, Jai Ram Ji Ki seemed more suitable. But due to political drama, it had to be changed to Bullet Raja.

4. Jab Tak Hai Jaan – Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye
Yash Chopra’s dream was to make a movie with this name and also with the King of romance. As it could not be done, the creators then took the name Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which was taken from the poem Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
5. Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara – Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2
Not much of a difference but because of the following installments, the creators decided to change it to Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara.

6. Madras Café – Jaffna
The movie was related to Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination. Jaffna is a Sri Lankan city and this name was opposed by the Sri Lankan government. Madras Cafe was the final name kept by the creators.
7. Jai Ho – Mental
The first name was more suitable as it gave a negative view to the audience. But releasing the movie on Republic Day made the title Jai Ho.
8. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara – Running With The Bulls
One of the finest creations of the Bollywood industry and in the world too. This movie is one of the best Bollywood movies of all time and personally a movie with a lot of life lessons. Running Bulls would have been less suitable. It was taken from the music of Rock On, but Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara seemed more suitable.
9. Hamari Adhuri Kahani – Tum Hi Ho
Being one of the famous songs in the Bollywood industry, the creators decided to make the title more descriptive and different so they went on with Hamari Adhuri Kahani.

10. Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela – Ram Leela
The High Court of Madhya Pradesh gave an order to change the movie title because it would hurt the sentiments of some people. Also, the new title gave a lot more description of the movie.
11. Veer Zaara – Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum
Yash Chopra’s dream name, Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, was the first choice but then they decided to give the title based on the names of the characters which is Veer Zaara.
12. Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu – Short Term Shaadi
The first title would be totally wrong for the given story. The name Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu was much more nice and more suitable. The first name would give a lot of wrong impressions about the movie.
13. Finding Fanny – Finding Fanny Fernandes
Though it was not a Blockbuster hit, the movie name is much nicer with only 2 words. The name with three F words would make it necessarily big and less relatable too.
14. Love Aaj Kal – Elastic
A movie name like Elastic would be funny and not relatable to Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal. Before the first title would go to the censor board, the creators decided to give Love Aaj Kal which makes more sense.

15. Total Siyapaa – Aman Ki Aasha
Total Siyapaa is much nicer and more suitable for this movie. The creators of this movie wanted to give the name Aman Ki Aasha initially but an Indian Giant media company wanted the same name so they did not give permission to use this name.
16. Jab We Met – Punjab Express, and Ishq Via Bhatinda
A lot of different names were given to this blockbuster Bollywood movie like Ishq Via Bhatinda and Punjab Express but later the creators settled upon Jab We Met.
