People accused the makers of mocking over-the-top television show dramas as soon as the advertisement went viral.
In the advertisement for the se*ual healthcare brand, actress Bhavna Chauhan starred with Ranveer Singh and adult star Johnny Sins. She opened up about the criticism the ad received in an interview, Bhavna revealed that the ‘original script was funnier’, but the team who made the ad ‘altered it’.

Talking about the criticism the ad encountered for ‘making fun of TV shows’, Bhavna said,
“They are marketers and understand the ripple effect of such things. Honestly, the original script was funnier but they altered it accordingly. The intention has always been to make it look like a normal scene from a TV show so that it’s viewed casually by everyone at home. They wanted the topic to be normalised.”
TV actress Rashami Desai slammed Ranveer Singh for the ad
Recently, Rashami Desai slammed the advertisement and said it was ‘humiliating’ the television industry. She further shared that she is “hurt” by the advertisement and added that “it felt like a slap”. On her Instagram stories, she revealed,

“I’ve started my work from a regional film industry. And then started working in television industry. People call it a small screen. Where normal people watch news, cricket, all the Bollywood films also and much more. After watching this reel, which is highly unexpected, I felt it’s a humiliation to all the TV industry and people who work in television,” she wrote on her Instagram stories. Rashami further shared that she is “hurt” by the advertisement and added that “it felt like a slap”.

The ad was represented as a parody of an Indian TV drama. Bhavna played Kishu in the commercial, who is not happy about her husband’s (Johnny) se*ual health issues. The ad displayed Bhavna’s character complaining to Ranveer’s character who is her brother-in-law. Bhavna’s husband Johnny struggles with erectile dysfunction.
