Every other day, late at night, civilians are being chased by goons and looted by them. In some very grave instances, they are even being murdered. All of this makes going out at night a very tough task. In another road rage incident, a Bengaluru scientist was chased down by goons in the Ravuthanahalli area.

It does not matter if you are traveling in a cab or your very own car, goons are bound to chase and attack you if they wish to. In a very astounding happening that took place in Bengaluru, a scientist was traveling via his own car but was attacked by goons.

This recent happening took place this past Sunday. Ashutosh Singh, a scientist employed at the Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences, took to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to open up about this scary incident. He mentioned how the local goons attacked him at midnight and severely damaged his car. Not just that they even chased him down with actual “swords”. He wrote as we quote,

“A narrow escape from local goons on Aug 24, 12:45 AM at Rauthanahalli Main road. They tried stopping my car, chased me with swords, shattering back glass. Traumatized by the delayed police response. Seeking justice, lodging FIR at Madanayakanahalli PS today. Urgent action is needed.”

Karnataka’s additional DGP labeled the incident as a “Very serious incident”

Describing the situation as grave, Alok Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police for Traffic and Safety in Karnataka, stated that he had instructed officials to take firm measures against the perpetrators. He conveyed as we quote,

“It’s a very serious incident. Have directed the concerned to take stringent action.”

Responding to a surge in road rage episodes within Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, Police Commissioner B Dayananda announced the initiation of a record termed as a “rowdy sheet” for culprits engaged in such incidents.

He also recently mentioned on X how they are working hard to keep track of such goons and road rage incidents. He wrote as we quote,

“Incidents of road rage are being dealt with very sternly. Wherever such incidents are reported, police have detected the cases and apprehended the culprits. Besides, rowdy sheets are being opened in concerned police stations on such hooligans so as to keep track of them. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for road rage incidents in Bengaluru City.”

The city has witnessed a rise in road rage cases, with numerous instances being widely shared on social media. Thus he appealed to everyone to call 112 in all kinds of emergency situations.
