Bollywood star kid Athiya Shetty wished India cricketer KL Rahul on his birthday. Rahul turned 29 on Sunday, April 18. Kannur Lokesh Rahul aka KL Rahul is currently with Punjab Kings as their captain in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.
Athiya took to Instagram and shared two photos with boyfriend KL Rahul. Caption of the picture is, “Grateful for you, happy birthday (sic),” with a birthday cake and brown heart emojis.
In the two mirror selfie photos Athiya can be seen wearing a tank top and harem pants while KL is seen casually dressed. In one of the picture the couple can be seen pouting while in another Athiya can be seen sticking out her tongue.

Many popular celebrities dropped in their warm wishes for the birthday boy in the comments section. Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul have been dating for quite some time now. Rahul made his relationship with Athiya official with a post on her birthday in 2019. The duo is often spotted leaving a comment on each other’s posts. They make it a point to wish each other on their birthdays with a post on social media. Rahul is currently busy with the Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL). He is the captain of the team Punjab Kings.

Multiple Bollywood celebrities and people from the cricket community also wished KL Rahul on his birthday.
Athiya’s father, actor Suniel Shetty took to the comments section of her post and wrote, “Truly” with a black colour heart emoticon.
Suniel Shetty had earlier given his seal of approval to the cricketer during a conversation with a leading daily last year. The actor had said,
“We (he and wife Mana Shetty) love the kids and the kids they are dating. Absolutely love them and I think more than profession, being happy in life is very important today because that is the space I think that is missing. We were all happy, we grew up happy”
Suniel said that with the changing times, he added,
“I love Ahan’s girlfriend and I love whom Athiya is seeing. I do not have a problem with that, Mana doesn’t have a problem with that and they are happy… We are blessed that they are from brilliant families and so humble and fit into the family like gloves.”
Last year, on Athiya’s birthday, Rahul had shared a picture of the duo and called her his ‘mad child.’ On the work front, Athiya was last seen in the film Motichoor Chaknachoor opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui. According to reports, she is all set to play the lead role in Hope Solo, footballer Afshan Ashiq’s biopic.
