It all starts starts when Abhay is assigned a case which takes him to the city of Kolkata. The story of Abhay’s psychotically overprotective behaviour towards his son from a lady called Natasha begins to unfold gradually as he meets her here for the first time since their academic years. Elnaaz Norouzi, who plays the character of Natasha is praiseworthy as a newbie, giving an effortlessly convincing performance as an investigating officer.

Kunal Khemu is commendable in a serious ‘angry-young-man’ image and is a refreshing change from all the comic acts he has been doing in the past. He plays an efficient policeman, brilliantly conveying all emotions, a talent which we were not exposed to till date. His intensity is exemplary which justifies his credibility and suitability for this character.

Now, pair that with the great performance from Elnaaz Norouzi, and now you are left with one of the best thriller web series you find online. The episode, Crossfire, witnesses a violent confrontation between the police and the villain, Babu Bhaiya, who is the prime suspect of a weapon-deal. Later it is revealed, why the informant Govind vows to take revenge upon the person who revealed his name to Babu Bhaiya.

Towards the end of the episode, he also crosses path with the teenage killer on a train ride back to Lucknow from Kolkata. All of this adds to the suspense of ‘whodunits’ of the thriller series. Loaded with fast-paced action and dramatic twists, this ZEE5 original series witnesses incredible performances by the entire cast. The psychopath teenager and Govind take the levels to a new high with their exceptional performances. One of the interesting parts about this particular episode is that Mukesh Rishi plays as Babu Bhaiya. He is well known for his villainous performance in the past and like always, his acting skills in this series are commendable. Kudos to the director for roping him in for this role.

This ZEE5 original series is a coming-of-age crime thriller which keeps you hooked with unexpected twists and brilliant acting of the cast. The series, unlike most of the other crime series such as Crime Patrol and Savdhan India, involves no unnecessary drama. The script is based on true events and makes for an interesting watch. The flawless acting makes the real-life crime stories come alive on your screens and keeps you pinned anticipating the next twist. The gripping storyline leads to high levels of anticipation of the future twists and revelations which will unfold in the following episodes of this ZEE5 thriller, Abhay.
