Raveena’s entry into Bollywood
Raveena had her debut film in 1991 where she starred opposite Salman Khan in Patthar Ke Phool. Her next three films Mohra, Dilwale, and Laadla were box office hits. Raveena exceptional acting skills helped her to bag the National Film Fare Awards. She is still remembered in the yellow-clad saree in romancing and matching her moves with Akshay in the song Tip Tip Barsa Pani.

Love life with Akshay
Akshay had made his debut film in the year 1991 with Saugandh. Post which there was no looking back for this actor and he constantly presented the Indian audiences with many superhit Blockbusters. During his total career span, Akshay had appeared over 100 films and has won several awards in 2011 he had won the Padmashri awards. He is also popular for performing several dangerous stunts in his films for which he was also known as the Indian ‘Jackie Chan’. In 1994, during her second film Mohra, Raveena met Akshay Kumar and the cupid struck for her. Akshay whose original name was Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia was in the peak of fame at that time.
Their love bloomed with the passage of time and since they both were from Punjabi background a possibility of marriage was rumored. Their sizzling chemistry was also visible in the films they had worked together. Their relationship had started grabbing the eyeballs.

They also had an elaborate engagement. However, since Akshay had a huge female fan following, he wanted to keep the love affair secret as he thought that this news can ruin his career. On the other hand, Raveena was always open and vocal about her relationship with Akshay.
At a chat show, Raveena spoke about her engagement with the Khiladi Akshay and said,
“It was a voluntary decision. I was engaged to somebody I knew. This is what I wanted, to lead a very normal life. I quit in advance before marriage because we did think that when there will be last day of my shoot, we will go ahead and get married. Once I re-started my career, he again said that leave it and we will go ahead with the wedding. But, then I told him that once I chose you over my career, but now I will choose my career over you.”
When asked if the couple got married. To this, she said,

“No, there was a very elaborate engagement ceremony. With the pandit doing pooja and everything. His family had flown down from Delhi, my family came from Delhi. One of his elders had put a red dupatta on my head, and I think that was mistaken to be a wedding.”
A protective girlfriend
Soon Akshay met Rekha in 1996 during the shoot of Khiladiyon ka Khiladi, a possible love affair was suspected between the two. However, the rumors were not true as it was later confirmed by Akshay. Akshay soon developed the image of a Casanova and he was linked with many popular actresses of that time. Raveena was a committed girlfriend and was looking for a faithful partner. Akshay’s polyamorous love life had caused a split between him and Raveena.
In an interview Raveena said,
“If this actress knows that we are together yet gets too close to Akshay, I will get my claws into her. But Akshay knows how to handle the situation I guess.”
Raveena was quite open about her love and engagement with Akshay but he was never loyal to her. She stated,

Raveena’s love episode with Anil Thadani
Post her split with Akshay, Raveena was in an emotional turmoil. She got busy raising her two adopted daughters. She also started producing films. Her first produced film was called Stumped. It was during her career in film production she had met the man of her dreams Anil Thadani, who was in the film distribution business.
Anil was born in 3rd October 1968. He is also the director of AA films, a motion picture distribution company in India. His company distributed many Hit Bollywood films like Fukrey, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, Welcome 2 Karachi, Firangi and 2.0. Soon the relationship between Raveena and Anil transformed from professional to personal. Anil had an unsuccessful marriage with Natasha Sippy, the daughter of Ramu Sippy and was going through a tough time personally. Ravenna was also heartbroken post her nasty split with Akshay. They both found comfort and solace in each other’s company and soon their love bloomed.
Raveena and Anil dated each other for 5-6 months and in 2003, Anil proposed to Raveena on her birthday to which the actress responded in affirmative. The duo had an engagement in November 2003.
Raveena’s marriage
Like many other Indian girls, Raveena too dreamed of a grand wedding. Her marriage was celebrated with huge pomp and show. It was indeed a big fat Indian wedding. Raveena had entered her mandap sitting in a 100-year-old Doli. She got dressed in her mother’s wedding gown and she had redesigned it with dazzling gold thread jewelry and exquisite stones. The couple has a son named Ranbir Thadani and a daughter named Rasha Thadani.
Now both Raveena and Akshay are happy in each other’s life. Akshay got married to Rajesh Khanna’s daughter, Twinkle Khanna in 2001. Though Raveena had not been spotted in recent films but she is still a known face in Indian television and often spotted in the award functions and the TV commercials.
