Now, a user has shared a post on X, claiming he had ordered a sandwich via Zomato, and he found a plastic glove in that sandwich. He raises concern over the health aspect of the food delivery and calls it “unacceptable.”

A Zomato user finds a glove in an ordered sandwich, says, “It is unacceptable”
On 26 August 2025, a Zomato user named Satish Sarawagi shared a post on X saying that he ordered a sandwich via Zomato, and he found a plastic glove inside the sandwich. He calls this incident unacceptable and a serious hygiene issue. He also added a picture of the same in the post.
He tagged Zomato, Zomato Care, Deep Goyal (founder of Zomato), Salad Days Co. (restaurant), FSSAI India, The Times of India, News 18 India, and Hindustan Times tweets.

Zomato’s reply to Satish Sarawagi’s post on X
On the X post related to the glove found in the food, Zomato replies within 30 minutes and says that they are shocked to know about this incident. They also added that they can’t imagine how bad he must have felt. They asked for a time to discuss this matter with the concerned restaurant and told they would reach out to him for further resolution.
“Hi Satish, we’re absolutely shocked to hear about this. We can’t begin to imagine how upsetting this must have been for you. Please allow us some time so that we can take this up with the restaurant partner, we’ll get in touch with you to discuss this further.”

“Salad Days,” the restaurant replies to the post on X
Satish had ordered the sandwich from Salad Days Restaurant via Zomato and tagged them in the X post. So, the next day, which is 27 August 2025, Salad Days had also replied to Satish’s post on X. They said they had taken this incident very seriously and started an investigation for quality assurance. They asked Satish to direct message their contact information to them so that they can directly connect with each other and find the best solution possible.
“@SarawagiSatish We’re taking this matter extremely seriously and have immediately launched a thorough investigation with our quality assurance team. This kitchen has been flagged for urgent review. Please DM us your contact details so we can coordinate directly and ensure this is resolved properly.”
