In her response, Urvashi stressed that even the most important personalities in India become victims of criticism like the Prime Minister and Bollywood superstars. She indirectly compared herself to Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who also get trolled occasionally.

Talking to Instant Bollywood, the actress said,
“Isme kya hai na… humare jo desh ke Pradhan Mantri bhi hain, Shri Narendra Modi ji, mere sabse zyada favourite superstars Shah Rukh Khan aur Salman Khan – toh log jo hain voh toh unko bhi nahi bakshte. Toh aap hi bataiye ki phir isme kya kiya jaaye?” (The thing is… even the Prime Minister of our country, Shri Narendra Modi ji, and my most favourite superstars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, are not spared by people. So, you tell me, what can be done about this?)

The tone-deaf attitude of the actress in the context of the incident, her lack of concern for the actor, and her insensitive remarks attracted trolls and controversies. When asked about the incident, she said,
“It is very unfortunate. Now, Daaku Maharaaj has crossed ₹105 crore at the box office, and my mother gifted me this diamond-studded Rolex, while my father gifted me this mini watch on my finger, but we don’t feel confident wearing it outside openly. There is this insecurity that anybody can attack us. Whatever happened was very unfortunate.”
Urvashi posted an apology on her Instagram handle for the same, but later deleted the post.

Also, in an interview with Filmfare, she shared that she had given the interview just after the incident occurred and was drained after a busy schedule. She said that the question about Saif Ali Khan caught her off guard because the attack happened at 4 am. She added that she was still processing the news. Urvashi also shared that she was unaware of the gravity of the incident involving Saif Ali Khan, which resulted in the controversy. She also shared that she spoke about her parents’ gifts out of excitement and that it was a moment of misplaced enthusiasm and not an attempt to ‘show off’.
