Recently, a clip went viral online, wherein Udit Narayan can be seen performing the song Tip Tip Barsa Pani on stage. In the clip, his female fanbase requests him to take a selfie with them. When a female fan invites him to take a selfie he holds her hand and looks at the camera. But when the woman gets closer to hug him, the singer kisses her on her cheeks. Many other female fans invite the playback singer for selfies, who is seen kissing them on their cheeks as well.

The shocking thing happens when a lady in black also kisses Udit Narayan on the cheek, the singer returns the gesture by kissing her on the lips. However, there’s no confirmation of the authenticity of the video and it can’t be specified when the incident took place as it is undated. But the clip is enough to create a stir online, and the netizens brutally attacked the singer online for the way he kissed the 21-year-old female fan.

Udit Narayan finally reacted to the trolling in an interview
In an interview with Hindustan Times, where he was questioned about the same incident. The singer answered that he was a decent person and not someone who would kiss someone forcefully. He also added that he has been in the industry for 46 years now, and whenever he goes on the stage, fans go crazy for him. He further stated that fans often indulge in holding hands or hugging their idol, so one should not pay attention to it.
He said,
“Fans itne deewane hote hain na. Hum log aise nahi hain, hum decent log hain. Some people encourage this and show their love through this. Udaake kya karna hai ab iss cheez ko? There are so many people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards present too. But fans think they are getting a chance to meet, so someone extends their hands for a handshake, some kiss the hands… yeh sab deewangi hoti hai. Uspe itna dhyaan nahi dena chahiye.”
