Actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently experienced a similar situation at a press event for her upcoming movie Odeyla 2, where a reporter asked director Ashok Teja why he cast a “milky beauty” like her in the role of Shiva Shakti.

Rather than accepting the comment passively, Tamannaah intervened, asking the reporter to explain what she meant.

“Excuse me ma’am! I’m actually curious to know what do you mean?”
She further added by saying,

“You are saying milky beauty, but why did you look at a milky beauty and think she can’t be a Shiva Shakti? Your question has the answer in it.”
She highlighted that Teja did not view the term “milky beauty” negatively.
“He [Ashok Teja] does not look at milky beauty as something to be ashamed of or feel bad about. Glamour in a woman is to be celebrated, and we women must celebrate ourselves. Then we can expect other people to celebrate us. But if we look at ourselves in a certain way, then nobody can respect us.”
She concluded by saying,
“He looks at women as divine. Divine can be glamorous, lethal, powerful. A woman can be many, many things.”
Through her confident response, Tamannaah emphasized that women should not be defined or judged by their physical appearance.
