Following that it was reported that his son Taimur accompanied the actor to the hospital. Now, as seen in the hospital document shared by Republic World, a family friend called Afsar Zaidi brought the actor to the hospital.

According to the viral report, Saif was attacked at 2.30 AM. He suffered multiple injuries including laceration wounds on the lower back, wrist, shoulder, side of neck, and abrasive wounds on the elbow. According to the report, the 54-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital at 4.11 AM. The report sparked concerns about the delay in medical attention.

Mumbai Police gathered evidence, including fingerprints left behind at Saif’s residence. The actor suffered six stab wounds and a knife lodged dangerously close to his spine. Arrest of Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir
Mumbai Police arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir on January 19, 2025, for stabbing Saif six times. However, Shariful’s father asserted that his son was innocent, and stated that the suspect seen in the CCTV clipping did not match his son’s appearance. He claimed that his son was framed.
The father revealed in a media interview,
“From what is shown in the CCTV… my son never keeps his hair long. I believe my son is being framed.”
Shariful’s father said that his son had left Bangladesh due to political tension. He also said that he had come to India to get a better life. He has been working here and that his employer even rewarded him.

In his recent statement, the actor said that he and his wife, Kareena, were in their bedroom at that time. They were on the 11th floor of their flat in Satguru Sharan’s apartment. They heard Jeh’s nanny, Eliyama Philip, screaming. Jeh was scared and was crying, and Saif tried to stop the criminal. Saif was unable to prevent the assault and was nabbed several times.
