YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, AKA BeerBiceps, has been facing severe backlash for his controversial remarks on Samay Raina’s stand-up comedy show, India’s Got Latent. The social media influencer issued a public apology via video on the social media platform, X, but that has not stopped the flood of criticism. The saga continues, now, another clip has surfaced and has been doing the rounds on social media where Ranveer can be seen being emotional and crying expressing regret over his actions.
The old viral clip of Ranveer shedding tears garnered a lot of attention
The video features Ranveer Allahbadia, wearing a white t-shirt, getting emotional and breaking down in front of the camera, and sharing the impact of his situation on his work. He was saying,
“Mujhe isiliye bura lag raha hai kyuki sab kaam bandh ho gaya b******d… I just feel I am guilty, puri team ko isse expose kar diya, aur meri wajah se pura kaam bandh ho gaya. (I exposed the entire team. Because of me, all the work has stopped)”
The video has been circulated as a response from Ranveer after the India’s Got Latent controversy. The video seemingly represents his admission of guilt after the backlash.

It turns out that the video doing the rounds is an old video he posted in 2021, where he expressed distress after testing positive for COVID-19
The clip shows Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, crying in front of the camera and whining about all the lost work. This footage is from a video he posted in 2021 when he became COVID-19 positive. The resurfaced video that is being misinterpreted was actually posted three years ago during the subsequent lockdowns. The clip was posted shortly after his COVID-19 diagnosis. The original video starts with Ranveer stating,

India’s Got Latent controversy
In one of the episodes of the comedy show, India’s Got Latent, Ranveer Allahbadia appeared as a guest panelist. During the show, Allahbadia made a crass remark while questioning a contestant, he asked,
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?”
Co-panelists Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija were seen laughing at Ranveer Allahbadia’s comment, and the audience laughed too. The joke was considered vulgar which attracted severe backlash from social media. The criticism was not limited to Allahbadia, the other judges and the show were a part of it too. Maharashtra Cyber Cell has filed a case against the show. The Guwahati Crime Branch also filed an FIR against various influencers and creators associated with the comedy show.

As part of the investigation, influencers like Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Makhija, Jaspreet Singh, Ranveer Allahbadia, and host Samay Raina are being questioned.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) condemned Allahbadia’s remarks as “abhorrent” and “disrespectful” to societal values. The AICWA statement also called for a ban on India’s Got Latent and insisted that actors and filmmakers should distance themselves from the show and its creators.

Meanwhile, host Samay Raina declared on his social media that he had deleted all videos of the show from YouTube and expressed his willingness to cooperate with the authorities.
On the work front, ANI reported that The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) reported on Wednesday that upcoming shows of comedian Samay Raina’s in Gujarat have been canceled.
