In a shocking incident that has left many outraged, a pregnant woman from Delhi took to LinkedIn to share a terrifying experience she faced during an Ola cab ride. The woman, who requested to remain anonymous for safety reasons, was travelling from Cherry County in Noida Extension to Saket, New Delhi, when the incident occurred. She wrote in her post that she had simply asked the driver to turn on the air conditioner, but he refused. When she insisted, the situation took a dark turn.

According to her post, the driver not only denied her request but also became aggressive and threatening. While knowing that the woman is pregnant, he aallegedly told her,

“Tere pet mein laat maar ke baccha gira dunga,” (I will kick your stomach and make you lose the baby.)”
The woman further claimed that he forced her to get out of the cab midway and warned her with the words,
“Abhi aage dekho kya kya hota hai, (You wait and watch what happens next.)”
Woman demands strict action from Ola after disturbing cab ride
Calling the incident extremely distressing, the woman shared that the behaviour of the Ola driver caused her immense stress and fear. In her viral LinkedIn post, she tagged Ola and its CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, urging them to take strong and immediate action. She clearly stated that such behaviour was absolutely unacceptable and demanded strict legal action against the driver involved.

Not just this, the woman further revealed that she had filed a complaint with Ola’s customer support and also reported the matter to the women’s helpline.

In response to the viral post, Ola reached out to the woman and assured her that “appropriate action” had been taken against the driver. The company also apologised for the unfortunate incident, stating that steps were being taken to prevent such situations in the future. The woman even shared a screenshot of Ola’s response with IndiaToday.
“We would like to apologise for the unfortunate incident that happened on your ride with Ola cabs. We have taken appropriate action against the partner so that such issues are eradicated in the near future.”
However, the assurance did little to ease her concerns. The woman wrote back to Ola, asking them to clarify what exactly this so-called “appropriate action” meant.
