3 minutes read

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a popular cricketer with a huge worldwide fan base. He is known for his humble nature and his regular interactions with his fans. Whenever he spots a fan, he makes sure to wave at them and smile. MS Dhoni currently resides in his Ranchi farmhouse with his wife Sakshi, and daughter Ziva. His farmhouse in Ranchi is known as Kailashpati.

Several fans visit his residence to get a glimpse of their idol. Dhoni regularly stops his car to shake hands and click selfies with his fans who wait outside his farmhouse and that happens almost every day. Sometimes, a few fans get unlucky when it gets difficult for Dhoni to acknowledge all of them.

On a recent occasion, a die-hard fan of Thala cycled from Delhi to Ranchi to get a glimpse of him

The name of the fan is Gaurav Kumar, who allegedly traveled 1,200Km to reach Dhoni’s farmhouse at Ranchi. He claimed that he waited at the gates of the farmhouse for nearly a week. He even slept in a tent outside Dhoni’s residence for 5 days, waiting to catch a glimpse of him.

He also mentioned that he had even cycled to Chennai from Delhi during the Indian Premier League to meet Dhoni. But he couldn’t meet him.

He also said that he saw him a couple of times when he drove out of his palatial house. But he is disappointed as, despite his efforts, he couldn’t meet his idol personally.

It was an unfortunate moment for him because Dhoni must have been unaware of his hard work and efforts or he might have been in a rush to leave and couldn’t stop his car to greet his loyal fan.

Here are the videos posted by Gaurav on Instagram where he asked for fellow fans’ support:
