10 Times Women Were Asked Absolutely Ridiculous Questions After They Got Married

Foolish people and the places their mind goes, and married women. These two are not really much of a good combination. If mixed together it can create a solution that would only spread out toxic fumes through it.

Despite this being told over and over again, some people never seem to stop. Doing it behind the curtains in it to not get caught in one of the ways, but there are instances where people had the audacity to ask the most stupid questions to women who are married. Questions that they wouldn’t dare to ask a man if the same case scenario was given to them.

Let’s take a look at the atrocious and misogynistic questions, married women have gotten asked, out loud in the public:

1. When Sania Mirza was questioned about her preparations for ‘settling down,’

Rajdeep Sardesai, a broadcast TV presenter, questioned the tennis star about her ambitions for settling down, whatever that entails, throughout a nationwide appearance. Rajdeep inquired during the conversation, which took place after the publication of her autobiography,

“Amidst all the celebrityhood, when is Sania going to settle down? Is it going to be in Dubai? Is it going to be in any other country? What about motherhood, building a family, I don’t see all that in the book, it seems like you don’t want to retire just yet to settle down?”And this is what Sania replied, “Unfortunately that’s when we’re settled, and no matter how many Wimbledons we win or number ones in the world we become, we don’t become settled. But eventually it will happen, not right now. And when it does happen I’ll be the first one to tell everybody when I plan to do that.”

2. When pressed if her wedding will influence the movies she chooses, Deepika Padukone said no

Deepika was addressed the topic in a purportedly honest conversation with Filmfare immediately after her marriage in 2018. The presenter enquired, “Will your marriage affect the kind of films that’ll you’ll say yes to now?”

And without skipping a beat Deepika provided a very fitting reply,

“No, why should it? The journey of life will. The kind of films that I do today and the films I did five years ago are different because I was in a creatively different space then. But marriage is not going to change anything.”

3. When it was implied that the funds Deepika contributed in her movie was ‘ghar ka paisa’ and not her personal profits during a marketing event

A journalist thought that because Deepika is a bride now, the wealth she utilizes will be her husband’s even although she is one of Bollywood’s finest performers during a marketing event for her movie Chhapaak, which she also financed. A journalist commented,

“ghar ka paisa laga hua hai” and Deepika replied,

“Excuse me! Yeh kisne bola?! Yeh mere khud ke paise hain, excuse me! Meri mehnat hai!”

4. When Anushka Sharma was queried when she will begin looking like a married lady

In a conversation, the performer was questioned when the public will be able to see the “married” Anushka, because wedding is, after all, like cosmetic procedures…. not. The subject was phrased as follows: “Now that you’re married, people want to see that married Anushka. What is she like at home?” was what replied by Anushka.

“The same! What more do i need to do to appear married? Cook and do the dishes?”

5. When Priyanka Chopra was challenged if she would continue performing now that she was wedded, and given the controversy surrounding her deleting her surname ‘Jonas,’

Even after removing her namesake from her Instagram username, Priyanka remained dogged by controversy. She put an end to the debate:

“It’s just a professional hazard… Because of the noise of social media, because of the prevalence that it has in our lives, I think it seems a lot larger than it is. I think that we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don’t think it needs that.”

6. When Keira Knightley was pressed how she managed her work and home life after her wedding

8. Reese Witherspoon’s economic counsellor informed her that once she’s wedded and in her 40s, she’ll generate less income

Reese claimed in an appearance that her economic counsellor told her, “You need to start saving right now because you’re going to be making drastically less money in your 40s. Basically, you’re not going to have much of a career.”

And her reply went,

“I’ll never forget the sexist remarks I had had to deal with in the industry”

9. Maggie Gyllenhaal was criticised for being too old to be the central character of a 55-year-old man. At the age of 37

This was revealed to the actress when she was only 37 years old. To play a 55-YEAR-love OLD’s concern. Such comments were made since she is wedded, and when women marry, they become older.

“It was astonishing to me. It made me feel bad, and then it made me feel angry, and then it made me laugh.”

10. Jennifer Garner was probed about juggling her family and job responsibilities, while her spouse was not

Jennifer Garner and her then-husband Ben Affleck were questioned on the red carpet. Jennifer was solely questioned concerning her work-life balance, while Ben was questioned regarding his profession, among other matters.
