Recently, an employee from Mumbai shared a flabbergasting incident on Reddit. He shared that he had messaged his manager in the morning, stating that he would not be able to come to the office because his father had forbidden him to leave the house amid the Maratha rally. To his message, his manager responded with nothing more or less than a single full stop.

This unusual yet amusing way of asking for leave by an employee from his manager has gathered much attention online.

A recent post on Reddit’s r/mumbai subreddit shared an incident about how an employee texted his manager in the morning, stating that he wouldn’t be able to come to the office because his father wouldn’t allow him because of the traffic diversions and blockages due to the Maratha rally. To this message, his manager replies with nothing more than just a full stop. Further added that he was too stunned by his reply that he didn’t bother to ask what the message meant, and just went back to sleep.

He headed the post,

“Flabbergasted by my manager”

And shared a screenshot of the conversation where he has written:

“Hello sir, won’t be coming today, my father is not allowing because of the rally as routes are majorly blocked or diverted”

To which his manager replied with nothing more than a single full stop.

“Texted my manager today morning informing him that i won’t be coming to work today because of the Maratha rally and he replied me with a “FULL STOP”. Thats it, i was too overwhelmed to ask him what does that means but i just couldn’t so i went back to sleep😭😭”
